Network Marketing is also known as Multi-level marketing often the short form of MLM. If you are considering joining the many who are involved in network marketing then this information is for you.

There are particular things that you should be paying attention to within a network marketing business that will make the difference between going on ahead with a successful business and simply joining something and going no-where. So you may have been warned that most network marketing businesses actually fail, I am sorry to say this is indeed true. This is true because many folk interested in network marketing do not do things the right way. Be one who does get it right and be one of the very successful individual who realizes their dreams.

You should be able to begin your career in network marketing at very little cost. It is not necessary to be paying large sign up fees and frontloading that amounts to thousands of dollars, you should in fact avoid offers where massive amounts of money are required from you to start with. No, you do not need to "buy your way to the top". If you are being asked to purchase large expensive inventories keep shopping, this is not the real deal.

Do not fall for the incredible claim that it is possible to make money without selling a thing. It is possible that you may have people placed under you without you having to do anything only if the people above you are working extremely hard and your compensation plan is a forced matrix or power leg binary. This is referred to as a spillover, but certainly you will never make any real money this way. If you happen to join expecting this possibility you are setting yourself up for disappointment.

Be sure that the company you are considering actually has a product or service; there is no such thing as a business opportunity with potential if it is nothing but an opportunity.

It is absolutely recommended that you do your homework on your intended company thoroughly. You must do a search for complaints and scam warning. Make certain the company's history checks out with everything they have told you and there is absolutely no unusual activity or discrepancies.

The backbone of any network marketing company rests in the areas of sales and distribution; we are most familiar with direct sales. It is from the product the company carries that a sales person makes a commission or percentage of sales. the salesperson may also be paid via an hourly or salary package, some will be paid per lead or contact but at the end of the day there will be a sales quota that needs to be met. This is traditional selling.

Network marketing however is much better for companies and distributors. Certainly you are still moving a product but you are also looking for someone else to sell this product also, you are effectively building a team, you will get paid for your sales and a percentage of the sales of those who you have encouraged to join you. This is why it is called multi-level marketing.

When the people who have come to join you, do the same as you and encourage others to join them you are moving higher up the ladder and enjoying percentages of sales from all those under you, at the same time those directly under you are making a percentage of the sales made by those who they have encouraged to join them. You begin to make money with little effort spent. The payment plans are referred to as binary, breakaway, matrix, stair-step and finally the gold is called unilevel.

The unilevel payment plan has absolutely no limit to the number of people who may be selling under them; these people are often referred to as downlines. You commissions are also quite high but not from a percentage point of view, this is in sheer volumes. These earnings are sometimes called leveraged because you are benefiting from the work of those under you. This is when real wealth begins to happen.

Network marketing is all about referral, a nice gentle soft sell is sufficient; hard sells are not so effective or desirable for success. You simply make a recommendation and ask others to do the same. Passion sells, if you are passionate about your product this will spill over to others. Promotional materials are typically provided such as letters and brochures, web sites and DVD's. These materials should be persuasive with many testimonials.

The company's product must be desirable, it is best if this product is unique and manufactured by the company itself. If you want to be going the distance the product must be able withstand the duration and attract returning sales, ideally a regular consumer base.

Network marketing is about building a residual income that should continue to come in, you are not looking for a quick here today gone tomorrow sale. Be sure that the company is debt free and have a reliability of over 5 years.

Having discovered all of these things four warm market, ie family and friends are best avoided, these are not business contacts, take your business seriously and look for people who are interested in your business, product or service.

MLM genealogy lists are available for network marketing. These are a list of people who are interested in network marketing or who have been involved in it. Generally these lists are not particularly expensive and well worth a look at for potential contacts if you have a product and company that you would recommend to them.

Using the term 'Pre launch' or 'its brand new' is one of the oldest tricks in the book. I know because I have fallen for it so many times. My very first program was a program that promoted multiple income streams. After trying about 4 different programs my first year on the internet and having some success, but never the huge numbers I read about. I started looking for the big score, so I joined every program that was in pre launch or that just started. I thought to myself, if I could just get in early, then maybe I would be one of the people that you read about.

All I learned is that most people jump into a program with no intent of staying for any length of time. They ride the wave for 2-3 months and move on to the next pre launch program.

If you are a loyal person and your sponsor gives you a good reason or excuse, "I call it a sales pitch" on why they are leaving and going to this new and improved company, you will probably feel bad if you do not follow your sponsor and you will feel like you have let your sponsor down. They make you feel obligated to jump ship with them AND THEY MIGHT EVEN MAKE YOU FEEL STUPID IF YOU DONT. So you follow them. I have done this too, but after doing this 2-3 times, you realize that your sponsor will continue to do this to you every 2-3 months, leaving you broke and broken hearted.

The best sponsors are loyal sponsors. They stay in a program and work the program. This is the only way to make real money long term. If you are trying to make a name for yourself on the internet, you must have long term success. The only way to have long term success is to commit to a company and work that company long term. Just ask internet trainer "Dani Johnson" She will warn you of these people too. This is not a plug for her, but in my opinion, Dani Johnson is the best internet marketing trainer on the planet.

Think about it, if you are an employer, would you ever hire a person that has had 3-4 jobs in a 12 month period. Unless it was seasonal work, their resume would be thrown away and laughed at. So, if your sponsors resume looks like a high school seasonal employee, run as fast as you can.

Every affiliate marketer is always looking for the successful market that gives the biggest paycheck. Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available for them. Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.

There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive compelling and include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the readers to try and read more, even contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

2. Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them at the very top side of your page so it they simply cannot be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect.

Only two things can possibly happen with the web page alone: closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never return again. By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified period, you will remind them of the product they thought they want later and will find out that the sale is closed. Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word "free" because there are still older spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before even anyone reading them first. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not avail of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Just think, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that is focusing on your target customers and what you have put up might just grab their interest.

Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day. Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means you can made 10 sales based on the average statistic.

The tactics given above does not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You can end maintaining a good source of income and surviving in this business that not all marketers can do. Besides, think of the huge paychecks you will be receiving. And more importantly, all the other people you'll be helping to do the same...

I attended a very exclusive wealth conference in San Diego last week and one of the keynote speakers did a segment on treating your home business like a real business NOT like a hobby.

Sounds odd right? Who on earth starts a business and doesn't treat it like a real business? You'd be surprised...

To my surprise and to the surprise of just about every other entrepreneur at the conference, the IRS is not too thrilled with this approach either. As a matter of fact, they have recently taken a stance on this issue due to the astronomical number of home business start ups in the United States as of late.

In case you didn't know, home based businesses now represent 52% of small businesses in the United States according to Small Business Administration (SBA).

Entrepreneur Magazine recently reported that the home business industry is a $427 BILLION per year industry - more that the pharmaceutical industry, food industry and consumer goods industry combined!

So here's what you need to know.

IRS Definition Of A Hobby:

It is generally accepted that people prefer to make a living doing something they like. A hobby is an activity in which you DO NOT expect to make a profit.

It amazes me everyday in this industry how many people have the hobby mentality and take the "I'll give this a try and see if it works" approach. You know what I'm talking about. We've all been there at one point or another.

Well, I have some disturbing news on taking that approach to running your home business. "If you do not carry on your business or investment activity to make a profit, you CANNOT use a loss from the activity to offset other income."

The crucial distinction between a hobby and a real business is whether you engage in the activity with what the IRS calls a profit motive.

I thought this was fascinating because the amount of people I see each and every day that want to begin their own businesses actually do not really have a profit motive. They think they do but they really don't and in most cases they take the every popular: "I'll give this a try and see if it works" approach.

Most home business owners do not realize that if their business is properly defined and properly structured (more on this in a moment) from day 1, ALL of their expenses are tax deductible against ALL household income. NOT just against the income from their home business.

You may want to read that again. Here is an example for illustrative purposes:

John and Susan Smith earn $80,000 per year between the both of them from their full time jobs. They start their own home business with $2000 and eventually invest another $5000 into their business over the course of the year to get it off the ground. They have now invested $7000 in their first year.

If they have properly structured their business from day 1 and have a profit motive from day 1 then they are entitled to a $7000 tax deduction for the current calendar year.

So instead of John and Susan paying taxes on $80,000 (their combined job income), they would only pay taxes on $73,000 ($80,000 combined job income - $7,000 in home business start up and expenses).

Not a bad deal, huh? Now, if John and Susan earned $20,000 in their home business that year then they would pay their normal taxes on $80,000 from their combined job income (since they do not show a loss). But, they would only be required to pay taxes on $13,000 of their home business income because they had $7,000 in expenses ($20,000 earnings - $7,000 start up / expenses = $13,000).

Do you see the powerful benefits of owning a properly designed and properly structured home business? Ok, so how do you know if your home business is structured properly and NOT viewed as a hobby?

We'll let's have you take a quick test. Have you ever said any of the following at any time when you began a business? And be honest...

1. "I'll give it a try and see what happens."

2. "I'm doing this with the idea of making a profit and if I can't make a profit doing this, then I'll find something else to do that will make me a profit."

3. "Let's see if we make any money at it first"

Notice the above words in italics. If you find yourself using any of these words in your business endeavors it may be time to rethink this whole being your own boss, entrepreneur thing. Not to mention, it is a hobby mentality and frankly, is a damaging mind set to be in.

So, do you have a profit motive? Let's see. Here's what justifies a profit motive?

First and foremost, you must never take the approach in questions 1 - 3 above at anytime or you are clearly not serious and will most likely spend more money than you ever earn. And, you must Incorporate your business otherwise you are viewed by the IRS as a sole proprietorship. A sole proprietorship is when you operate your own business without a formal legal entity such as a corporation (Inc.) or (LLC). This is very risky.

When you operate you business as a sole proprietorship there is absolutely NO legal separation between you and your business and you have personal liability for every business debt.

Guess how the IRS feels about this? Yep, hobby. Your chance of getting audited doubles as well. Yes, doubles.

Furthermore, we live in the most litigious society in the world. 4 out of 5 small business fail in their first 5 years. This is a national statistic.

Considering the great majority of new business owners use their own personal money to begin their enterprise, should their business fail, business creditors can now rightfully go after your personal assets.

Not good. So ask yourself 2 questions right now to determine whether or not your home business is a hobby or a real business...

1. Am I taking the "I'll give this a try and see if it works" approach?"

2. Is my business properly structured right now by being incorporated for legitimacy, protection and long term success?

The answers lie right there.

This is a huge topic and is one that you must completely understand. Otherwise, you will get ripped off and lose a lot of money. Let me explain what multiple streams of income are and what they are not. Multiple streams of Income are a concept that many millionaires use to have many revenue avenues. Michael Corcoran, who was the founder of the first multiple income stream marketing system on the internet in 2001, would agree with this concept.

When Mike Corcoran created the first Multiple income stream marketing system, he never imagined how so many people would take advantage of this concept and use it against you to rip you off. Before I get into detail about the ways that these so called "internet Gurus" are taking advantage of you, I will get into the way it was intended to be used.

Multiple income streams was intended for a person to start a business with one company, affiliate program, MLM or direct sales company. It was intended for a person to master one program, have success with it for a minimum of one to two years and then add another business to the portfolio when, and only when, the first business was running on autopilot. While still running the first business, putting little time into it because it was running so well, focus a little more time and money into the second business to get that one up to speed where it was duplicating the results of the first business. This is how you can double your results. Like, I said, it usually would take a year or two to get a business and multiple incomes up to the level where they were running on autopilot.

If you have spent many years developing the above strategy, it is alright to add a third or a fourth business to the portfolio as long as you maintained the original businesses. Adding more than one business to your portfolio in less than a year just proves that person is not focused and says a lot about their character. Having a total of more than 3-4 businesses in a portfolio just means that a person is simply a program jumper and is out to take your money.

Program jumping is becoming more and more popular these days from these so called "internet gurus". This is a typical case in which someone is a program jumper. Watch out for these people. If someone has joined three programs in 6 months, they are a program jumper. Program jumping makes sense for the leader of a group as they can tempt their 'downline' to jump as well by saying things like "Brand New" or "Get in Early" or "This one is so much better".

The truth is, they take all the followers from program to program to program. They make excuses as to why they left the old program in favor of another one. The truth is, they have suckered all the people they can sucker into the first program and their income is suffering, so they say they have found a better 'mouse trap' over here, so come and join me and you will make a ton of money with me in this one. I know people who have joined 5 programs in 7 months. Anytime a new program came on the market, they were in it, suckered all the people they could into it until the next new program came out.

I know several people, who on the outside look great, but jump ship every two months. They put together training packages, marketing tools such as capture pages and auto responders, professionally written letters, etc. They look like a leader until you pay them $1000 for program A, then another $1000 for program B, then $1500 for program C and so on. Pretty soon, they are rich and you are broke, left to fend for yourself.

Use your common sense out there. Do your homework before you join anything with anybody. The first question should be, what else do you promote? What have you tried. How many have you tried this year? Last year? If they do NOT have a stable track record, run for the hills. Think about it. If you were an employer and wanted to hire an employee and you get an applicant that has had four jobs this year alone, would you hire them? NO Way! You know that by the time you trained them, they would leave looking for more money! Isnt that right?

My suggestion, use your common sense and beware of the so called "Internet Guru". They disguise themselves as experts, but they are really just program jumpers.

When it comes to retrospection, it is truly a fantastic thing. For instance, if we all had known that the membership fees for a popular website would attract such a following, we would have most likely joined the second we learned of it.

If we had only known that niche marketing would become so infectiously popular, then we would have concentrated on this approach rather than waste time with MLM.

If only we had known that Google was going to shift algorithms and AdWords would establish new rules, we could have:

Let's stop.

We have to stop there.

When exploring the ins and outs of online marketing, you can surely bet that the only thing that remains the same is the rate of change. How many times have you opened up your email only to learn of the latest product to hit the shelves? One thing is for sure - there will always be another opportunity to make money in an easy and quick manner. Google will continue to switch its algorithm, while fresh search engines are just around the corner - looking to give Google a bit of competition.

What can be done about all of this? Four things to consider:

1) Keep Educating Yourself

You should know that anyone who excels at the top of their game, regardless if it is through Internet marketing or another field - possess something that makes them good. Usually, it means that they never stop learning new things. New materials and fresh methods are constantly popping up - all being demonstrated with the help of a new professional.

The majority of us become educated in three different ways. We catch on from experts who are knowledgeable in a various niche associated to our field; we learn from those who are trying to accomplish the same things we are, and we dare to fail and learn from both the positive and negative results.

Over time, you will see that the more you learn about Internet marketing, the better able you will become at analyzing the services, products, and possibilities that fit you.

2) Concentrate on One Thing and Give It a Try

Many people who pursue an online venture typically take the same path. They are full of hope and excited about a new product or approach. They go full force into the prospect of succeeding and spend long hours (and generally a lot of money) to set up and get rolling. Some people sell e-books, while others focus on an eBay business. Some establish directory-type websites or center their efforts with AdWords or AdSense.

Then out of the blue - they hear of a new system (perhaps a venture created by a person who states "experts are going to kill me for giving away their secret"). Those who are unhappy with the absence of results with their first venture may decide to shift to another business idea. However, the cycle only begins again with a different product that they will also get tired of and later look to replace.

Next, time passes and after months and years have gone by, they are struggling to pay credit card bills, which comes from switching business approaches at the drop of a dime. Since they don't spend much time with any one thing, they aren't making very much money, and the classic phrase creeps up once again - "If I had only known then what I know now..."

If you can picture yourself in this same scene, then the good news is that you do know better. While you aren't aware of the next best thing in products to come around, you do possess enough information to select a system that will work best for you and you can stand by.

3) Planning Time is Important

Two to four weeks of regrouping is suggested. Next, you need to scan the entire collection of products decorating your shelves or displayed on your computer screen. Now, create a list. Come to the conclusion on the products you are familiar with that are worth keeping. After that, scrutinize the ones you have pinpointed and choose what seems to appear as the best system for you to pursue at this moment. Your strengths will play an important role in this process, as well as your level of know-how and what you think you will take pleasure in the most.

Lastly, create a plan of action. The goal is to focus on just one method and create a feasible timeline in order to accomplish your objectives. This is not a speedy process. It is highly recommended to allow enough time to be patient and watch the money grow. Profit is just the right motivational tool that will keep you going.

It is also important to gain clarity - in the physical sense and regarding the mental aspect of yourself. All the products that do not fit your scheme should be stored away in boxes or filed away on a disk. You never know when you may come back to these possibilities at a later date, but if you have selected the appropriate system to accommodate you, then this will not come into play.

4) Don't Let New Products Cause a Distraction

The objective of the game is to only concentrate on purchasing products and services that will save time and money. It is never good to buy on an impulse. Instead, print out the sales letter, carefully read it, and then set it aside. The next morning, scan the sales letter again. Does it offer the same appeal? Next, take a look at a couple of forums to hear the inside scoop. If a product isn't worth its weight in gold - you will certainly hear about it. If a product is of great value, you will learn that as well.

Also, some questions to ask include: "Will this assist me to simplify the venture I have selected? Is it worth it to pay the money? What kind of difference do I stand to benefit from?" And most importantly, "Do I really need this, or will this become an unnecessary distraction?"

It is also suggested to make plans for the upcoming year to signify your success. You don't want to stand for anymore change jiggling in your pocket. And, we definitely don't want to hear - "If I had only known..."

So, now you know.

Let's make your goals a reality.

Today, the Internet is where most people go to research a new career, find a job, compare prices on retail items, find ways to make extra money, research investment opportunities and even entertain themselves. Smart business owners position their businesses where consumers will find them, online.

Making money online has never been easier. It has also never been more confusing. Affiliate marketing opportunities, work from home businesses, Internet marketing and plug-in profit websites all offer multiple streams of income. All of these online money making opportunities have one thing in common, they depend on opt-in leads to generate online business success.

An opt-in lead is generated when a person comes across a website or online ad that features a money making opportunity like affiliate marketing. The person may arrive at this point by running a specific keyword search through a search engine like Google or they may view an ad on another website or receive notification about the opportunity through email. When presented with this opportunity they simply enter their name and email address in the opt-in form to receive additional information.

How to Increase Your Opt-In Leads

Tools like pay per click advertising, search engine optimization and purchasing opt-in leads from a vendor are all viable options for increasing a business' useable leads and each one has unique advantages.

Pay Per Click Advertising

Pay per click (PPC) advertising gets your business noticed. You determine which keywords a potential customer might use to find your business with a search engine inquiry and bid on a price to pay each time a user clicks on your advertisement after searching for those keywords. If you are the winning bidder for "affiliate marketing opportunity", your company's ad will display prominently on the search engine results page when a user types in those three magic words into the search box.

This concept is somewhat similar to outdoor billboard advertising. Prime real estate locations are like prime keywords; everyone wants them and you must pay more to get them. One interesting twist on PPC advertising is that the keywords are constantly up for auction. The major limiting factors in how successful a PPC ad campaign might be is your monthly advertising budget and quality of your advertisement.

This option is used to quickly attract visitors interested in your business' products, services or money making opportunity.

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a complicated process that helps a business owner design a user friendly website that will rank well on a search engine results page when certain keywords are searched. This ranking is determined by search engine spiders. These spiders are complex programs that search the web continually and determine what each website is about in order to display the most relevant search results to each search engine inquiry.

It is unlike PPC advertising in that you cannot pay to get your website ranked well. Ranking is based on the quality and relevance of your website's content in relation to given keyword or keyword phrase. These are often referred to as organic results since they are natural instead of purchased.

This technique also helps to direct relevant users to your website, but it takes time and effort to rank well on a search engine results page. Search engines are constantly changing the way their spider programs work. An SEO specialist stays up to date on the latest known tactics that help a website rank well. This process is complex and changes are often closely guarded secrets, so never trust an SEO company that guarantees number one ranking on any search engine. There simply is no possible way to guarantee top ranking of organic search engine results.

Opt-In Lead Vendors

Opt-in leads are a great way to increase your profit potential. Investing in personalized leads is best, but leads can also be purchased from a vendor for faster results, but you will be paying for unusable leads as well as legitimate ones.

More leads equal more sales. Investing your time and money in activities that increase the number of legitimate leads generated every month is always a solid step towards online business success.

What is a scam artist? I thought long and hard before writing this article as not to offend anyone. Nobody would ever be complimented by being called a scam artist.

A scam artist is someone who takes your money for product or service and never delivers anything to you. They run off with your money never to be heard of or found again. unfortunately the business opportunities market has had its fair share of these characters! BUT thankfully they do seem to be on the decline!

It has been my experience that there are similar traits in a lot people on the internet and I will let you be the judge weather or not you call these people scam artists.

I usually find that MLM program jumpers have similar traits and characteristics to the scam artists or maybe more resembling a swarm of Locusts. These people are usually people who jump ship to every new program out there on the internet. If a new program comes out, they jump in it, take all you hardworking people looking for a genuine business opportunity with them and proceed to suck you dry they then move on to the next program.

Here is an article I found on the subject of Locusts, which i know is going of the subject - or is it -

Locust (insect), common name applied to a number of jumping insects and especially to the true locusts, which are migratory grasshoppers (see Grasshopper). The true locusts cause great damage to crops wherever they swarm.

Control measures include the spreading of poison bait and the plowing under of locust eggs. Infestations threatening large regions of the United States are combated with insecticides sprayed by planes and truck-mounted mist blowers provided by joint federal-state programs.

Aside from the true locusts, the periodical cicada (see Cicada) is another important insect to which the name locust is applied. Grouse, or pygmy, locusts are small, jumping insects that are of little economic importance. Most species are dark brown and are less than 2.5 cm (less than 1 in) in length.

Now, does this sound familiar out there on the internet?

I would love to warn you about these people by name, but would never do that. I will however, give you things to watch out for and let you be the judge.

If a person has joined 3 or more MLM programs (or any other business opportunity come to that) in one year, they are probably program jumpers, which as we see above, have similar traits to the locusts and do more harm than good. These people are simply out to take your money. No wonder they are making so much of it.

They have perfected the locust style of business!

Anyone that is looking at advertising, marketing or any other campaign form to encourage consumers to contact them is interested in the most believable type of advertising. They want the consumer to know that what they are saying is real and therefore it should be reason enough to bring that person in. The most powerful method to accomplish it is word of mouth. Why? Trust is the single benefit that comes from word of mouth methods of advertising.

With word of mouth, studies have shown, people simply believe it. Would you trust your friend? Of course! For this reason, any type of business can benefit from effective word of mouth advertising. How to you accomplish this?

You want to encourage your customers that they have something to talk about.

For example, some retail chains have used the method of giving the customer some form of coupon for their next visit and tagging on a second one for their friend. This encourages open communication about the company and draws in the second customer.

How can you do this? Look at what types of lures you currently use to draw people in and double that for their friends. Everyone benefits, especially you with word of mouth benefits.

An Example Of Good Word Of Mouth

Pretty much anyone on the web has heard of Gmail, Google's powerful email accounts. But did you know that very little money was spent in promoting it?

In fact, the single type of advertising used was that of word of mouth.

If you were lucky enough to get an account, you were given several other accounts to share with those that you wanted to share with. The key here was the fact that unless you were referred by someone, you couldn't just open a Gmail account.

Pure word of mouth advertising was used.

In turn, this created a buzz and if you didn't have a Gmail account, you wanted to have one.

Gmail became one of the most in demand accounts to have, with little to no advertising dollars spent on it.

The question is, how can you take this example of word of mouth to the extreme and use it in your own business?

Can you give away a service? A reward for referrals? Or even just provide superior service to your clients so in turn you can deliver to them enough to talk to create a buzz?

Word of mouth, such as Gmail's example, is powerful and launches small or large businesses into a new world.

If you can use this example in your own business, chances are you can achieve the same success.

In an attempt to locate financial freedom, every day thousands of people search the World Wide Web looking for home based businesses. Unfortunately, some individuals actually end up worse off than they did in the beginning of their quest. Why? The answer is a bit complicated.

It is important to know yourself when searching for a home based business. Acknowledging what you excel at and your weaknesses is significant. You will enter a process of honesty when assessing your skills. While we all imagine we are masters at everything, this is usually far from the truth.

The process of analyzing strengths and weaknesses will come in handy when you begin selecting the business that will increase the success you stand to enjoy. For instance, let's say your strongest suit is not communication. Are you the type of person that doesn't talk much to others and doesn't mind keeping to yourself?

Yet, you may possess great organizational skills and love to write. This means that a business centered on writing articles or ghostwriting could suit you, as this employment does not require you to do much talking or attend a lot of meetings.

Next, you need to settle on the kind of services or products you will offer the public. The more passionate you are about a particular product or service, the more you will sell. Before I continue, there are a select few who can sell ice to a polar bear, but these people are an exception to the rule.

The majority of us, if we don't believe in the product or service we are backing, then the highest level of success is never reached. This happens because most people can tell when a seller is truly enthusiastic about their product. Therefore, if you are seeking a network marketing company, consider starting out as a customer for a few months before committing to becoming a part of the business.

After sampling the product or trying out the service, you can establish a gut feeling about the venture. Additionally, you can prepare yourself to answer questions better because you have been in your potential consumer's shoes.

After selecting a business that plays to your strengths, and locating a product or service you wholeheartedly support, you have the option of choosing your own budget. Keep in mind that the majority of home businesses need a few months before they actually reap the benefits, so staying within your set budget is very important.

If you have sided with an MLM for your business, you may encounter a sponsor that suggests you purchase a handful of accessories to boost your business. Despite this, still make sure to keep within your budget. If the suggested items exceed your budget, you should request a ranking of items that are sorted by importance. This is a good way to retrieve the best supplies while staying within your set financial limitations.

So, now you have a business, a product, and a set budget, you are definitely ready to begin with your own business. It is also important to remember that this is a business venture that needs the according attention. Heading a home based business is sometimes more demanding than running a traditional business. When running a business out of the home, many interruptions exist, such as family, children, pets, television, and the closeness of your bed.

If you follow the before mentioned steps to a T, you can still fail by giving into the disruptions at home. Taking your business seriously is key to succeeding and not wasting your money and time, as this is one of the main reasons at home businesses are started in the first place. Establishing an isolated home office is a good way to make sure distractions do not affect your progress.

With a business up and running, marketing now becomes an important factor. This is how you attract customers. Today, there are numerous approaches in marketing that includes television advertising, newspaper notices, flyers, mailing lists, Internet linking, and pay-per-click advertising.

The way you market your business is completely up to you. Every technique has its advantages and disadvantages. Usually, business owners will choose the methods that still keep within their budget.

It is also essential to broaden your horizons when it comes to marketing, as the more people that gain knowledge about your business equals more profit in the long run.

How many websites are dedicated to ebooks that claim to have the best marketing network tips that money can buy? How many of these ebooks really do contain that magic silver bullet which puts all other marketing tips to shame? The answers are legion and none. At this point in time it should be common knowledge that there is no secret to multi level marketing or network sales but instead that this is the kind of business that relies on a variety of skill sets.

Some learned some innate and because it is such a high volume and high contact line of work, only a few will truly succeed, while a vast majority will have only a moderate success and the remainder will simply fail and eventually walk away. As a matter of fact, if one were to crystallize the one best marketing network tip that anyone could possibly offer it is simply this, practice your people reading skills.

Practice people reading skill is the best marketing network tip not only because you are doing business with people who will hopefully become buyers of your product but also because you are working with potential candidates for your down line and these new distributors need to not only be recruited but also later trained, motivated and helped to succeed individually and in conjunction with your position in their up line.

A network marketer who is unable to deal with people of vastly different temperaments and character traits will soon find that her or his sales will lag behind and the down line never really seems to materialize. Even the best marketing network fall victim to a network marketer who is unable to relate to individuals who are different from her or his own personality, background and in some cases even race or creed.

Yet in a global marketplace that is not showing signs of contracting but instead only continues to expand further, a failure to adequately relate to people with other personality makeup not only becomes necessary but instead it is a matter of business survival. To make your MLM business the best marketing network you have the power to mold it into studying the personality traits of those who are different from you.

Books and online materials abound that speak of different personalities, their traits and also the way to speak to them from a business point of view and also their weaknesses and how to deal with them when seeking to overcome objections and finally close that deal. For the sake of your down line, you also want to learn how to help those with weaknesses in their characters that are different from yours so that you will be equipped to adequately motivate and train such individuals to maximize their productivity.

Refuse to fall for any more marketing gimmicks, ebooks, how to presentations and anything else that requires you to part with your hard earned money and instead invest your time and energy in learning about other personality types, their foibles, how to recognize them and most importantly how to deal with them.

Not all ezines are created equal; some of them have poor formatting and lack luster articles, and others are a breath of fresh. But nearly all ezines, good or bad, have classified ads.

Marketing with classified ads is so popular online because it is cost effective and it works.

Correction: They work when they have all the following parts and these parts are working together to churn sales.

Before you get started you get started it's crucial that you dispel one very age old ad writing myth: getting it right the first time. Nobody, not even an ad writing wiz, can put together a profit pulling classified ad in mere minuets and nobody gets it perfect in their first attempt.

Professional ad writers will produce 20-30 variations of each part in order to put together a well written classified ad that delivers.

That said your classified ad should contain the following: an attention grabbing headline a compelling body, and a clear call to action.

An ad writer who is able to produce a profit pulling ad knows that every ad needs to have all those parts and that each part has only one, job and it should never multitask.

The headline:

Your headline sells your ad. Your ad may never get read without an attention grabbing headline, which is why 80 percent of your time should be spent creating a captivating headline. If you don't pull your readers in from the get go, the chances of you closing the deal is slime.

On that note, avoid making the mistake of writing cute or sensational headlines with no relevance to the offer just to get attention. Even if you do get one or two sales you won't be creating a positive business to customer (B2C) relationship.

No web business (or any business for that matter) can survive without that. You can be catchy while still be being honest.

Your headline should excite the reader so use action words and avoid sounding passive in your classified ad. Marketing with classified ads is not a passive activity. You can also try creating curiosity or asking a question. Remember, draw the reader in and be prepared to answer the god of all customer questions "what's in it for me?"

What do you do if the publication you are using does not allow headlines? Use the first few words as a make shift headline or indent the ad so it stands out.

The body:

The purpose of the body is to set up the call to action. It must clearly layout the benefits of owning the product or the service, or point out what the prospect is missing out by not owning or using it. In other words, it should answer the "what's in it for me" question.

Write down all the functions of your product or service and then write down the list of benefits for those features. If you can not think of a benefit for that feature then do not use that feature.

As a customer, I don't want a list of what the product or service will do. I want to know what it will do for me. Once again "what's in it for me?"

The call to action:

The call to action is what you want the reader to do. Do you want them to visit your site? Subscribe to your ezine? Make a purchase? Whatever it is it should be clearly stated.

If you want them to visit your site create a sense of urgency. Why? Because your offer has to be more important than whatever they are doing now.

Your marketing with classified ad is written then you're done right? Wrong! For starters you should proofread your ad for spelling errors and read it out loud to see how it will sound to the reader.

Next, you need to test your ad. Test your classified ad multiple times to figure out what works. It's a surefire way to spend less so you can make more.

If you take your time make sure you include all the parts necessary for an ad, and test to make sure each part is doing its job you will create a classified ad that truly works.

Every business has its own unique characteristics, its own essence. That is because every business is a reflection of the personal attitudes and beliefs of the people who own or manage it. This also explains why you can have two businesses with similar capital structures and similar business plans that are operating in the same market, and one can be wildly successful while the other fails.

One primary belief system that leads to the success or failure of a business is the owner's relationship with money. This sounds strange, doesn't it? Wouldn't you automatically assume that everyone in business has a healthy relationship with money? Unfortunately, this is far from being the case.

Self-Sabotage

In a recent poll conducted by our firm, more than 90 percent of the small business owners we polled actually had negative money beliefs. These beliefs were developed at a very young age, primarily from observing and hearing parents, teachers and the media. As such, many business owners carry an unconscious sabotage system that limits their success. On one hand, they have a genuine desire to succeed in business and to leave a legacy of accomplishment and contribution to the world; on the other hand, they carry unconscious beliefs about money that prevent their most precious goals from being realized.

For example, some of the common beliefs we discovered from interviewing business owners and asking them to describe the money paradigms they learned when they were younger include:

'Money doesn't grow on trees."

"Money is the root of all evil."

"There's never enough money."

"You have to sacrifice or work hard for money."

When asking business owners to describe their response to the statement, "I deserve to be wealthy," more than 80 percent of them responded by saying they felt uncomfortable or had a negative feeling about this statement.

Our research actually revealed that each business owner has his or her own "money heritage" or "money DNA." For many people, unconscious beliefs about money and what money represents in their lives are the silent assassins that slay the motivation for starting business in the first place.

A Means to an End

In contrast, the business owners we polled who were the most successful financially had a very different view of money. For the most part, these people viewed money as the tool or resource necessary to accomplish their goals. They viewed money as neutral yet vitally necessary for the fulfillment of their mission. Money was seen by this group as a means to an end, as a method of self-expression or simply as the medium of exchange required to extend their purpose in life.

Another interesting distinction was revealed in our study. The business owners who carried negative money beliefs and paradigms carried a feeling of anxiety much higher than their counterparts. This feeling was described as "always having to chase after money" or lack of consistent cash flow. Yet business owners with positive money paradigms described their feelings as being "in the flow," or a general belief that things would go their way.

Letting Go of Limits

What does this all mean? We each have our own cash flow code or money code. The key to understanding this code and opening the vault to unlimited cash flow lies in our willingness to be honest with ourselves and release the limiting beliefs we possess about money. Here are some thoughts and questions to ponder to help you with this process.

* Are you aware that the majority of the beliefs we carry about money were developed hundreds, if not thousands, of years ago? The majority of these money beliefs have absolutely no application in the modern world.

* Are you aware that there is an unlimited money supply in the world today? As a matter of fact, as the world economy continues to expand, governments print more money every day.

* Are you aware that in the time it has taken you to read this article, billions and billions of dollars (or whatever medium of exchange you use) have exchanged hands? All you have to do is insert yourself into the already existing flow of cash.

* Are you aware that money is neutral? Money doesn't care where it goes.

* Are you aware that money flows to people who believe they deserve to have it and who have a genuine willingness to receive it?

Here are some methods to help you release unconscious negative money paradigms and replace them with positive or healthy money paradigms:

1. Good, bad or indifferent, you must take 100 percent responsibility for the financial condition of your business. The condition of your business is an exact reflection of your thoughts and beliefs about money and your thoughts and beliefs about yourself. It has nothing to do with luck, government policies or the condition of the economy.

2. Once you take responsibility, give yourself credit for all the positive aspects of your life and your business. List them out on a piece of paper and read them every day.

3. Express gratitude for what you expect to accomplish in your business. Yes, give gratitude for your accomplishments in advance of attaining them. The emotion of sincere gratitude creates a powerful vortex of positive expectation and therefore positive achievement.

4. Focus on solutions, not problems. As simple as this sounds, very few business owners actually master this skill. Putting your attention on problems only exacerbates the problem. Once you know a problem exists in your business, immediately focus on solutions and take action with a solution-oriented frame of mind.

5. Associate with other business owners whom you admire and who you know have healthy money paradigms. Learn from them and ask them to mentor you.

6. Do whatever you must to develop a certainty about money, a certainty that you deserve money and that money will be a resource to assist you in the accomplishment of your goals.

There is one key secret known by all of the world's money masters: money by itself has no power whatsoever. The power or energy of money lies in our attitudes and beliefs about it. And this is true for you.

------------------ ARTICLE START ------------------

To begin with, the concept behind network marketing is simple. Sharing - through product or business philosophy - is the basis of network marketing.

Network marketing is a multi-billion dollar industry involving millions of independent business people around the globe. Large companies like Gillette, Colgate-Palmolive, Kleeneze Europe, AT&T and others, have all turned to network marketing because of the very real edge it gives them in both domestic and international marketing.

Network marketing is a 'BIG' small business, which offers everyone, with or without business experience, the opportunity to start and run a home-based business that works. It is the last frontier where 'the little guy', (people like you and me) can make it BIG.

NETWORK MARKETING Vs. TRADITIONAL MARKETING

The traditional way of marketing products is to move them from a manufacturer through a network of middlemen. National Wholesalers, regional wholesalers, Cash & Carry warehouses, retailers, - the 'middlemen' - all add their 'valueless' percentage to the price of the product.

By the time the product or service reaches you, the end user, you're not only paying for the product, but a percentage of the price for each and every middleman in the network.

In network marketing there are no middlemen. Instead of paying them, a network marketing company will pay you for whatever amount of product you cause to be 'moved'.

As a sole individual operating alone, the amount of product or service provision you could 'move' from your own efforts, would be relatively small. In network marketing however, the amount you 'caused' to be moved indirectly could be huge.

Here then is the essence of a network marketing compensation plan. For not only will you be compensated for the product or service provision you personally cause to be moved from your own direct efforts, you will also receive indirect compensation for the product or service provision that your 'organisation' 'causes' to be moved.

YOUR 'ORGANISATION'

To be successful in network marketing you will need to build an 'organisation'. That is to say you will need to 'share' the benefits of both the products/service provision and the business opportunity with others. In network marketing this is referred to as your 'downline'.

The 'serious' money to be had in network marketing is to be had from what is termed as 'over-ride' commissions from the 'movement' of product or service provision from the 'downline' your 'sponsor' will help you to build.(In network marketing it is the responsibility of your introducing 'sponsor' to help you build your 'downline'.)

All you need to do initially to build a 'downline' is to 'share' with others the information about the products or service provision and the business opportunity on offer.

Theoretically, if after 'sharing' the information with others and you subsequently attracted just five SERIOUS individuals who decided to join you in your network marketing business - for illustration purposes only - your 'downline' could equate to the following after five levels of geometric
growth:

You

You sponsor just 5 SERIOUS people into your business.

Your level 1/ 5

They duplicate your efforts and each sponsor 5 SERIOUS people.

Your level 2/ 25

These 16 duplicate your efforts and each sponsor 5 SERIOUS people.

Your level 3/ 125

These 125 duplicate your efforts and each sponsor 5 SERIOUS people.

A little arithmetic will tell you that's theoretically a total of 3,905 people on your fifth level.

AN UNLIMITED INCOME POTENTIAL

Imagine the power of a business-building plan that would pay you an agreed 'over-ride' commission on each product or service provision 'moved' by each and every one of those 3,905 potential distributors in your downline. Network marketing then is about a LOT of people 'moving' a little product. The more people you introduce, the greater your income potential. Notice that I said SERIOUS people. You may find that you have to introduce 20, 30 or even 50 new distributors before you find a person who Gets SERIOUS about the business.

If you want to toss aside the potential earnings on offer as being ridiculous or impossible - DON'T. I personally have met people who are earning $5,000 to $50,000 per month (yes per month) from network marketing for part-time effort. Though the majority of networkers earn hundreds rather than many thousands per month, (most working part-time) it must be understood then that if you are to make serious income, you must put in serious effort. No free lunches here! The professionals in Network Marketing (those that earn HUGE incomes) recognise that to become successful you must "go through the numbers". That is, sort through lots and lots of people until you find those people who get SERIOUS about the business.

There are two prongs to earning in Network marketing. First, is, of course, building a ´down line´. But remember, a large organization of people who do NOTHING other than sponsoring others, earns NOTHING!

Second is, BALANCE and CONSISTENCY. Spend some time building your
organization yes, but also spend time PROMOTING your products/services
to others and use the products/services yourself!

SO HOW DO YOU CONVINCE PEOPLE TO JOIN YOUR BUSINESS?

The simple answer is you don't. You want those who convince themselves. If they are truly looking for a way to become successful, then they'll come to you to go after it. The key to achieving success in network marketing is not to be had by convincing people, but by helping those (SERIOUS) people who want to become successful themselves.

WHERE DO I FIND PEOPLE TO JOIN ME IN MY BUSINESS

As it has been estimated that 20% of the UK working population - that's approximately 6 million people - would be interested in starting their own business, the marketplace in the UK alone is truly enormous. With a recent MORI poll indicating that 50% of 16 - 25 year olds were interested in starting their own business, the marketplace is actually growing.

One of the most important things to recognise is that the most precious resource available to you is in the new blood - the millions of business opportunity seekers who are not presently involved in networking. For it is there that you will find the success stories of tomorrow for your downline organisation.

The impact of the Internet on network marketing will be absolutely HUGE.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT COMPANY

In any successful business it is the quality of the product or service that is being offered that is the single most important aspect for its success.

The most lucrative compensation plan in the world will NOT provide you with an on-going residual income if the product or service doesn't provide tangible value and benefits for yourself and your customers.

Provide a product or service that people need, want, coupled with a business opportunity they are willing to tell their friends about and you can build yourself a business empire in network marketing!

TIPS FOR THE TOP?

Tip# 1/ If you're already involved in a network marketing programe and you're being 'sold' primarily on the benefits of the compensation plan with the product or service being offered as a secondary consideration, then read the above paragraph again and MOVE to a company whose products or services 'move'.

Tip# 2/ Ask yourself this important question: Is the network marketing programme I'm considering joining one that I'm willing to share with my friends and family? The comment "I don't want my friends and family to know what I'm doing, l want to become successful first - then I'll introduce them!!" is almost legendary in network marketing. (A comment oftimes made by failed networkers who had no real belief in the company or the products they were promoting in the first place!) If you immediately feel
comfortable with the prospect of letting your neighbours, your friends and your family know about the network programme you're considering joining, have belief in the company and its products/service provision, have confidence in your introducing sponsor, then you have probably chosen the right company to work with.

Tip# 3/ Don't be impatient by expecting things to happen overnight! Building a moderately productive downline in any network marketing programme takes TIME - many months not many weeks.

Tip# 4/ Read tip 3 again and avoid like the plague any company which suggests otherwise or does not require you to invest in the development of a distributor base. If your prospective sponsor in the network marketing programme you're being invited to join doesn't stipulate that it takes TIME to build a significantly productive downline then it's not a business your being invited to join but a game - and one you're bound to lose!

Tip# 5/ If you want to dine with the classes - deal in products or services wanted by the masses!

If you have tried Network Marketing before and failed, you probably chose the wrong company, the wrong sponsor, or the wrong product.

IS NETWORK MARKETING FOR YOU?

A message from the Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Tony Blair MP to the Direct Selling Association.

" I'm delighted to offer my support to the Direct Selling Association and point out to you how big a part direct selling is of our domestic market in the sale of goods and services. We've got something like 13% of the entire home shopping market done by direct selling, almost half a million
people are involved in direct selling and 40,000 of those are doing it full time...It also shows how, in a changing economy and changing labour market, there are great new opportunities out there.

I want to say to you that this is a good thing to be involved in and that we, as a Government recognise the tremendous contribution that people who are taking up direct selling opportunities can make to the overall prosperity of the economy. So it is well worth doing, well worth being involved in and I wish those of you who are engaged in it, the very best for the future."

The above is the text of a video message given to members of the Direct Selling Association on the occasion of the DSA's Annual Conference held at Hinckley Leicestershire on 5-6 May 1999.

TO SUM UP

Network marketing isn't for everybody. While some people swear by network marketing, others simply swear! (Read tip No. 3 again to find out why). To succeed in network marketing you will need determination, commitment, enthusiasm and most importantly - a burning desire for success. If you believe you have those qualities get back to the person who provided you with this information TODAY.

Without a doubt, email marketing is one of the most cost effective and work smart methods for marketing your business. You can reach thousands of prospects with just a simple click of a button. Yet, most marketers struggle to get effective results from their marketing efforts.

Not only are you faced with the CAN-SPAM Act and being compliant, but the email systems your prospects use can easily filter out your email before they ever see your message. Plus, people are bombarded with an avalanche of emails every day. This makes email marketing very challenging.

The great news is you can learn how to be effective using email as a method of marketing. Your success at using email effectively begins by understanding some very simple fundamentals regarding the use of email. These basics must be learned and applied, especially if you want to tap the true power of using email in your marketing, so you can have a competitive advantage.

As with any marketing method, it will take you time, patience, and consistent tracking of your marketing actions. Just because you have an email address and something to offer, does not mean you will get the results you want when you send an email message. There is much more to it.

As a Certified Training Consultant and Success Coach, I have worked with thousands of marketers over the years. I have also observed through their marketing efforts, as well as through all the emails I receive everyday, that most marketers misunderstand email marketing. Therefore, they get pitiful results. The misunderstanding is not only in how to use email but also in the power email marketing can provide to their business.

In March 1999, I began a track of personal success that helped me achieve a record of consistency in my marketing efforts. In fact, I personally sponsored over 800+ people total, which spanned a record of me sponsoring an average of 10+ people a month for 73 consecutive months.

The success I had did not come over night, nor did it happen with any magical tool. But it did happen with the use of technology including email. The fact is the technology helped me leverage my time and effort so I could focus my time in talking with primarily interested prospects. About 80% of my marketing efforts were connected to online marketing and email played an important part in my entire marketing strategy.

I continue to use email effectively in my business, not only for marketing but also for follow-up and support. The facts prove email works and email is a work smart tool. This is one of the reasons it is one of the 5 methods categories required in the 5 Point Strategy I use in the marketing of my business.

Why do I succeed at email marketing and others seem to fail? Simple - I take consistent action doing the things that work! The bottom line is that I have learned how to use email and unleash the power of email marketing in building my business.

Following are seven tips to follow, which will help you effectively use email in your marketing. Learn these tips and make sure you apply what you learn.

TIP # 1 - Email is Just a Tool

The method of email marketing consists of many tools and email is just one of many tools you will use. Other tools include, but are not limited to, auto responder follow-up systems, instant messaging, broadcast systems, and web sites.

Use email as a tool for leveraging your time and to supplement your communication with your prospects and downline. Do not forget the fact that network marketing is about building relationships and you can't build relationships unless you talk with people. Regardless of what tools you use in your email marketing campaign, your most important tool in email marketing is the telephone.

TIP # 2 - Understand What It Takes to Get the Results You Want

Type a message, click send, and they join! In the reality, that rarely happens. In fact, over 97% of those marketing online with email are not getting the results they want. Why? The answer is simple, but not easy! They are not adhering to the very basic fundamentals that make email marketing work.

In marketing, there are three critical areas of the marketing mix affecting your results:

1) Your message
2) Your target market
3) Your marketing method

To get the results you want, you must make certain these three areas of your marketing mix are in balance. I one area is out of balance, you will NOT get the results you want.

TIP # 3 - Think Long Term!

Too often we are thinking short term and focus only on the immediate gain. One very important lesson I learned early on is that consistent email marketing and following up with prospects long term makes a big pay off.

I do a lot of market-testing using email and other technological tools. I also use some very basic tools that help me keep a pulse on my actions, ensuring that I am consistently doing what works. To accomplish this task, I track and I recommend you do to.

In my own business, I had done a study about three years after I started using email in my marketing. In this study, the statistics showed I averaged a 12.2%+ conversion rate in the conversion of prospect to new customer/downline.

The real breakthrough for me came from what the study revealed on long-term results. The results in this study proved to me conclusively that the greatest benefits from email marketing efforts come from long-term effort. Here is what my statistics showed and the results are Phenomenal! This study looked at the prospects who entered my email marketing system in the first 70 days of its use. What was discovered was that within 30-45 days of entering the system, 10%+ of the prospects converted from prospect to downline (customer). At the time of this study, of those prospects entering the system in the first 70 days, I also had a long-term conversion rate of 29.72%! The bottom line is, the power is in the follow-up... and email works to supplement your overall marketing efforts. Think long-term!

TIP # 4 - Do NOT Spam!

This is more than a tip, this is a rule you should never break. Spamming is irresponsible and can get you into major trouble. It can also cause a lot of problems. Spamming can ruin your reputation and credibility. Bottom line is do not do it.

With the CAN-SPAM Act, one can also be intimidated as a marketer. This is where you must become a student of email marketing and learn from what we teach you (we invest a ton of money in market-testing and teach what works). You will find, over time you will
master the necessary skills to be effective in email marketing. The extra steps you take in learning effective email marketing and how to get results without spamming, the less likely you will be accused of spam. Being responsible in your marketing is essential and is required if you want to be view as credible in the marketplace.

TIP # 5 - Keep It Simple

While the technologies we have today look great and sound like the next best thing since sliced bread, stick to the basics. You do not need all the bells and whistles. You don't need video or even audio. But you do need an effective message focused on your prospect's wants and needs.

Unfortunately, too many marketers do not realize that many people operate with older computer systems. Although you may have the latest technology, keep in mind most of your prospects are not internet savvy and are not working with the latest of technologies.

TIP # 6 - Personalize

People do business with people they know and trust. Personalization in your email marketing will extend a very long way. Use the prospect's name and even relate to things you know about your prospect and their wants or needs. It is critical that you personalize whenever possible.

When sending email using an email broadcast tool, you can mail merge your prospect's information into a canned letter, which will give an appearance of a personal letter. However, be careful not to overdo the personalization.

In addition, remember there is a real person on the other end of your email marketing message. With this in mind, periodically email a personal one-on-one letter to your prospect. Remember, people do business with people they know and trust.

TIP #7 - Communicate to Educate

The people you are marketing to have unique wants and needs. They are often looking for a solution for what they want to accomplish, fix, or avoid. With this in mind, it is critical that you communicate to educate.

While you will always have a call to action and will be marketing to generate new and repeat business, the body of your message should be on education. Just like this article, I wrote it to educate, but with an objective to build your trust and confidence in me. The fact is if you find this information valuable, you will naturally want to learn more and will either email me or look up my web site.

This will work in your own communications with your prospects as well. They are eager to learn and when you communicate to educate in your email messages, you will improve your prospect's perspective of you and what you offer.

That's it - seven simple and effective email marketing tips! There are more tips I can teach you, but master these first. Take responsibility in your marketing. Most of all, make sure you learn and implement what you learn, then track your progress. Be sure to let me know how this has worked for you.

Recruitment is the lifeblood of any multi level marketing business and anyone who has had involvement in mlm will be aware that the business will not grow effectively without new distributors. So why does recruiting new staff seem to be so difficult? Listed below are some helpful tips to assist you and your organisation grow and blossom.

1. The longer you have been involved in your business, the more difficult it is for you to view the situation through your potential new employee's eyes and ears. You obviously know details about your business and may assume the new prospect knows these things as well but this will not be the case.

For example, they are probably not aware of how fantastic your products are or how great your compensation plan is. The secret of this scenario is to ask questions and listen to the answers you are given. Your potential employee will express what is important in their eyes and you can proceed naturally from this point.

2. It is always a good idea to dedicate some time building a little rapport away from the subject of business. Everyone loves to talk about themselves so do just that - simply talk to them about them. You will find out very quickly what floats their boat, by inquiring into how they spend their spare time, what they like and what they dislike about life at the moment. Being friendly in the beginning goes a long way when it comes to their turn to listen to you talk about your business.

3. When it comes to communication, the best skill you can develop is to become better at listening. You must surely have been in a conversation at some time in the past where the person you were speaking to was not listening to what you were saying at all.

They are usually not listening because they are too busy thinking about what they are going to say next. It is worth remembering that there is a reason you have one mouth and two ears! Getting a concrete yes or no out of your prospect is how you get paid in your mlm business and the sooner you find out which of the two it is, the better it will be for both you and the applicant.

While talking to them, find out if they are interested in joining you by running through the whole process with them. Don't be afraid to discover the answer to this and if the prospect is not interested, that's not a problem, you can then quickly move onto the next applicant.

Remember to ask questions, and listen to the answers in order to make your final decision. Repeating this process every time and encouraging your group to operate in this way will not only allow your network marketing business to grow but will also make you all better recruiters along the way.

A major mistake many marketers make building their direct selling business is they forget to use their listening skills and end up not listening to their prospect. If you are like these marketers, listening has become a forgotten skill.

The fact is we can spend countless hours focusing on preaching about our features and benefits and get trapped in a 'show and tell' mode. The result is we end up frustrating our prospects and ourselves. Then we wonder why we are not recruiting or selling the way we should.

Whether you are selling your products and services or recruiting a new downline member, you can put the power of effective listening to work for you. The result? You will avoid failure.

In this article, we will uncover the power of effective listening. We will talk about what effective listening is and how mastering the skill of effective listening can help you sell and recruit more. You will not only learn how to tune others in, but you will also learn to tune yourself in.

What is Listening?

Listening is really the silent part of communication. It is often the skill, and yes it is a skill, that is forgotten when we are prospecting and selling. Interestingly, by listening effectively, we can reach a clear understanding of our prospect, which leads to the prospect responding in a more appropriate manner. This leads to supportive cooperation, which means the prospect is on the same positive page as you. Being on the same page increases the prospect's cooperation in hearing more and improves their interest level.

TIP - Effectively listening to your prospect can increase your sales and recruiting results.

Research shows that we spend most of our time listening. Here is the breakdown of these statistics:

55% Listening
23% Talking
13% Reading
9% Writing

Based on these statistics, listening is the primary means of how we gather information about our prospect. Unfortunately, listening is also the least understood part of our communication. When we think of listening, we often confuse listening with hearing.

What's is the Difference Between Listening and Hearing?

Hearing is the physical ability to accept and transmit sound waves from the eardrum to the brain. However, listening is the ability to put meaning to that transmission of words. Think about the difference for a few minutes!

TIP - You must fully understand the difference between listening and hearing in order to become effective in listening.

You most likely heard many thousands of words today, but did you listen to everything? No you did not. You did not listen to everything because our minds do not allow us to absorb and listen to everything. Our minds do this because listening requires an energy and focus. We could never concentrate and absorb everything that comes our way, so our mind filters out (a selective hearing process) much of what we hear.

Sometimes people will refer to one who doesn't listen as hearing impaired, yet being hearing impaired is a physical condition. But, listening impaired is not. Listening is a skill that most people never fully develop. To expand our listening skill and enhance our ability to listen more effectively, we need to expand our thinking beyond just the interpretation of the difference between hearing and listening. We need to truly get in touch with the whole component of listening as communication. This means facing the facts about communication realities.

Three Major Filters that May Affect Our Overall Quality of Listening!

The reality about communication is we cannot allow ourselves to NOT communicate. From our non-verbal signals to the way we dress to the facial expressions and more. These things all affect our communication and even our listening ability.

Whenever contact is made, communication occurs. One problem that occurs as soon as we come in contact with someone is our mind starts chattering to us about our perception of the other person. When talking on the phone, it could be mind chatter about how the prospect sounds, which gives us a perception of this individual.

When communicating, the meanings of messages are in people, not in words. Words alone are only part of the message and meanings cannot be transferred from one mind to another, only words can.

WARNING: The receiver of the words usually attaches their own meanings to the words others are sending. This leads to another reality, ALL communications are received. However, 70% to 90% of communications are screened out or changed by the receiver. This means, at least 70% of what you say gets screened out or misunderstood!

Incredible!! 70% of what we say gets screened out or misunderstood. Think about that for a moment. Why does that happen? Why it happens is another simple answer but not a real easy one to understand. 70% of what we say gets screened out or misunderstood because of the fact our mind operates on a method of selective listening.

Selective listening is created with three major filters that may affect our overall quality of listening:

1. Selective Attention - This filter allows us to decide on what we will focus on or give our attention to.
2. Selective Interpretation - This is where we filter and place our own meaning on what we are hearing. Often our meaning comes from our background or own experience.
3. Selective Retention - This filter helps us decide what information to keep and how long to keep it.

A Simple Strategy to Stay In Tune When Communicating

How can one be in tune with their prospect and in tune with themselves in the communication process? There is one very simple strategy. The strategy is:

ASK! Then LISTEN!

Unfortunately, most people try to ASK! Listen for 1 1/2 seconds, and then they interrupt and start talking! Talking too much is what causes people to not get the recruiting or sales results they desire. The secret to more effective communication is to put a major focus on listening to the prospect.

We realize it is not easy to become an effective listener but it is necessary for you to master this skill. The first step to master the skill of listening is to become aware of your listening skills.

TIP - After every prospect call, ask yourself this important question: "Who did the majority of the talking?" Chances are if it was you doing most of the talking, you did not get the results you wanted. Think about that fact and then begin becoming aware of your listening ability.

Once you become aware of your listening abilities, you MUST acknowledge whether or not you have a listening problem. That is half the solution. The second half of the solution is improving and mastering your listening skills. If you want to become a successful leader with a huge residual income, you MUST master the skills of effective listening.

Listening is a Learned Skill!

Too often, we tend to think it is important to be a great talker to be a great recruiter or sales person. But listening is what makes us great, not talking. Sure, you have to be able to talk but it is the listening skill that will help you achieve greater results.

Listening is a skill that can be learned. A great way to learn to be more effective in your listening habits is to focus at least 15 minutes a day on enhancing your ability to listen. Over time, you will gain confidence and improve your overall listening skills. As a result of improving your listening skills, you will improve your business results as well.

You've heard the saying, "Practice makes perfect!" But does practice really make perfect? In reality, practice makes improvement. It is how you improve through the practice of taking action that will help you to reach your desired success.

A few years ago, when my twin boys were in Kindergarten, I had something happen that seemed all too familiar with what we experience in network marketing. As always, the first thing we do when the boys get home from school is go over their folder of work for the day. The folder contains homework for the next day and also results of test and other homework assignments done previously. The boys usually get very good results on their tests and they expect good results too.

One day they came in from school and Matthew, the oldest of the twins, was upset. When his mother began to review the results of an assignment he had the day before, he started to shed tears. Boy did he shed the tears! And he expressed a lot of frustration.

Matthew was furious because he got an 'N' on his assignment for writing his name and his brother Ben got an 'S'. [The kindergarten teacher used an 'O' for outstanding, an 'S' for satisfactory, and an 'N' for needs improvement]. The boys rarely got an 'N' on any of their work.

Matthew was crying and repeatedly kept saying, "this is unfair." He felt it was unfair that the teacher had given him an 'N' rather than an 'S', which is what he felt he deserved. We explained that 'practice makes improvement' and that all he has to do is to practice writing his name more and he will improve in his writing skills.

However, Matthew still continued to focus on the fact he got an 'N'. He pointed out that he got three things circled and Ben got three things circle, yet Ben got an "S" and he got an 'N'. Matt felt it was totally unfair!

Matt seemed to express he felt the teacher cheated him by giving him a "N" on his paper. He then explain, "This is unfair and Mrs. S. doesn't know what she is talking about. She is NOT fair. I'm gonna tell her about it too and make her change it to an 'S'." Then Ben chimed in and said, "No Matt! I have a better idea. Go to the principle and tell her about it. She will take care of it!"

We explained to Matthew that he has other things in his folder where he has done better than Ben, as well as, they are both doing better than when they began kindergarten. We further explained they are both learning and improving everyday. Plus, we talked about the fact that the mistakes are good because that is how we learn and that you can't learn if you make no mistakes.

Shirley and I had a good little chuckle over this situation. The situation reminds me a lot about network marketers. It reminds me of how many times we are quick to justify the results we have by blaming others. If things don't go our way or if we disagree with something, we will just head to the person at the top and they will take care of it. We also tend to believe we must be perfect in all we do.

The truth is that we do not need to be perfect. Perfection causes stress, anger, and fear. Rather than focus toward perfection, focus toward improvement. Keep in mind, you control the majority of what happens in your life. In fact, 95% of what happens in your life is a direct result of how you react to a given situation.

TIP - Think in terms of improvement not perfection. When you think in terms of improvement, you will reduce the stress and fear in the actions you take. Sure you will make mistakes, but don't we all?

Over time you will consistently improve in your actions and your results will improve too. Improve the results you get by taking action. Practice the habit of taking action and remember that practice makes improvement NOT perfection!

Increased sales don't just happen, neither does improving your sales performance. It's NOT magic, it's the Process. You must not only understand the process but you must also follow the process consistently. Over the years, I have taught and personally used a simple 4-step process that is proven to work and has helped many marketers, just like you, achieve better results in their direct selling business (aka network marketing, mlm, etc.).

All too often as marketers in the Direct Selling Industry, we search for the magical lead, even though we know no such lead exists. In fact, we buy leads and even generate our own leads. We do this with a very high expectation level. This expectation level is that our prospect will buy what we are offering.

Whether we are retailing products or services, or offering the business opportunity, our expectation is the majority of the prospects will say yes. We even feel people would be stupid not to buy what we offer.

The problem here is we are focusing on ourselves and focusing on why we feel the prospect should buy from us. We are forgetting the fact the prospect buys for their own reasons, and their reasons alone, not ours!

As marketers, we can be extremely naive by expecting every prospect will say "yes" to our offer. Unfortunately, very few prospects will say yes. The result is we walk away frustrated and wondering why people are not buying from us. Of course, this frustration only becomes a reality in your business if you let it.

You can experience better results. You can sell more products and services. You can even get more people enrolling in your opportunity. The fact is you can have a steady stream of prospects (interested prospects) saying yes and doing business with you.

The key to getting more prospects saying yes and doing business with you requires you to understand your recruiting and sales process. This is a work smart learning gold nugget. The fact is you can increase your sales results and the increased sales begin with understanding your sales process. The result, if you understand the process, is increased sales.

What is the reality of expectations? Just a few moments ago, I was talking about how most marketers have high expectations. I want you to know it is OK to have high expectations, as long as you balance those expectations with reality. You can get better results and you don't have to work harder to get those results either.

Now here is the reality, your prospect does not care about you. They don't care about your product or service. And they do not care about your company or even your opportunity. The fact is your prospect only cares about themselves and what they want and need.

Further, your prospects (the majority of them) will never do business with you. But don't let the fact that very few people will say yes to you and your offer keep you from taking action or from working toward your overall business goals.

Just accept the fact that you are in part playing a law of numbers game. And keep in mind all games have rules. The rules also provide a guideline for you to follow. In the case of sales and recruiting, the guideline is the process. Your job requires you to understand this process and make certain you follow the steps of the process, especially if you want to achieve a high expectation level of results.

Now do not misunderstand what I am saying. Just because you understand your recruiting and sales process does not mean people will magically join you in your business or buy your products and services. You must also understand your strengths and weaknesses and develop from a side of your strengths.

TIP - You can short-cut your learning curve, improve your sales performance, and literally accelerate your success by going through a comprehensive Sales Skills Assessment.

The Secret to improving your sales performance is not magic. The secret is in the process. Again, make sure you learn and understand your sales process and that you take your prospects through the process. Consistency is critical.

Once you learn, understand, and are following your sales process, you can take your performance improvement one step further by getting a comprehensive sales skills assessment. The power behind the assessment is being aware of your strengths and then making adjustments in the process focused from your strengths.

Retailing your products/services is what feeds your income. If no one sells anything, no one makes any money, right? So how can you make certain you take the right first step so you become successful at retailing your products or services?

The first step to successful retail sales is to accurately target your market. Target marketing is essential and it is when you narrow that target market that you become a stronger potential solution provider for that market you are targeting.

When coaching marketers about retailing their products/services, I always ask a simple question - "Who is your prospect?" The most common answer is "everyone!" I usually respond with a statement like, "So if everyone is your prospect, why is it that nobody is the only one buying?"

Think about it! Think about your own business. Who is your best prospect? What are you doing to make certain you are targeting the right target market of prospects?

A key component to increasing one's sales is targeting your best prospect - the people most likely to buy from you. This is where relevant and narrowed niche focusing is critical in becoming more efficient in your marketing effort. While we would like everyone to be our prospect, the reality is we do need to narrow that focus to allow us to focus on the target and make more sales.

Having a well-defined target market will allow you to identify potential prospects better. This will also allow you to define your qualifying measures needed to sort and sift through the prospects, in order to connect with those most likely to buy what you offer.

To be effective in any marketing activity, there is what is called the marketing mix. The marketing mix consists of: 1) the target market, 2) your message, and 3) your method of marketing. All three must be in balance.

Who are your best prospects? Your best prospects are the people who are most likely to buy your products or services. Don't consider everyone as your prospect, unless you want to waste time, money, effort, and want to be frustrated in the process.

Instead, narrow your target market for greater success at retailing your products or services. How do you narrow your target market? Markets fall into two categories; a chosen market and a natural market.

A natural market is a market that you are already tapping into and are marketing in. These markets exist from previous experience, connections, and current customers. Look at your current customer base and create a profile of the characteristics of your top 20% of your customers.

A chosen market is one you decide to market to. Basically, it is a market where you see an opportunity and a need you can fill with your product/service. You can market to either types of markets or both. The choice is yours.

Here is a brief exercise to help you identify your target market:

1) Of the product/service you want to market, list the three main benefits one receives from your product/service.

2) Out of the three main benefits, chose one benefit to focus on. Pick the one benefit out of the three that you feel most people would want. You can survey friends and family on this as well.

3) With the one benefit in mind, ask yourself, "Who would most likely benefit the most from this benefit? That is your target market group.

4) Define the characteristics of your target market group. List no less than 5 characteristics.

This is the start of your market profile. Keep in mind as you market, the key element of your strategy is to focus on your prospect's primary want. Learn as much as you can about your target market and their primary wants and needs. Concentrate the majority of your marketing effort in generating leads from that target market.

Don't ever start playing the "what if" game with your MLM business. It will drive you crazy.

Years ago we tried to generate our own MLM leads on the internet. We didn't have a clue what we were doing, and a few thousand dollars later, with no results to show for our investment, we decided that it would be best if we didn't market our MLM business on the internet.

What if we had really understood the power of the internet? Oops there we go again, playing the what if game. Such a bad habit!

Of course you can buy MLM leads, they are everywhere, but not all MLM leads are created equal. Have you ever bought leads and discovered that you were the 12th person to call them? You were told they were "fresh" but you would rather devour a week old donut than try to take a bite from these supposedly fresh leads.

The very best way to grow your MLM business, after working your warm market, is to generate your own leads on the internet. We had already achieved a six figure income when we tried to generate leads on the internet the first time.

We were way too cocky and instead of finding somebody that knew what to do, we were so smart that we did it our way. Just in case you don't already know, more often than not when you start to believe you have all the answers, you're going to fall flat on your face.

Been there, done that, lost thousands of dollars doing it my way! So how should you generate leads on the internet for your MLM business?

Find somebody who knows what they're doing and follow them. Why is it that we struggle with that concept so very much? Well I own my own business I can do whatever I want to. Yes you can, and you'll very often go broke doing it.

This time we went about generating leads on the internet a little more intelligently. We chose to listen first and act second.

So how should you go about generating your own MLM leads?

Start with article marketing. It's mind boggling how simple, easy and effective article marketing can be.

Like everything else it really pays off if you know exactly what you're doing so we suggest you do a little research before you get started.

We're not advocating that you research article marketing for a few months, just that you should know a little something about effective article marketing.

Write a blog. Search engines love blogs, we actually have several, each designed with a different purpose in mind.

Throw in a little dose of forum marketing and social marketing and you are on your way to generating free MLM leads on the internet.

We were told that it would take a long time to see results but it didn't. We started generating our own leads within days and now we can produce leads at will. If that's not enough we do it for FREE.

You can even generate leads and get a #1 ranking in the search engines at the same time. We went to #1 in 40 days with more than 5 million competitors and it was easier than you'd think.

Before you jump into internet marketing for your MLM business find somebody who can mentor you to success. It will save you a lot of time and quite possibly a lot of money.

Free MLM Leads, you've got to love that!

Scott Miller can teach you how to generate your own MLM leads and he'll give you FREE MLM training, including FREE MLM training CD's and a FREE MLM training webinar. Visit Scott at http://www.formermlmloser.com

The old adage nothing ventured, nothing gained implies that while one party ventures, another party denies or grants a gain. At the root of this transaction is the power of negotiation. For the online entrepreneur, it is a tried and true statement that a global marketing network thrives on the power of successful negotiation and without that skill set you will find that you will not adequately harness the power of the Internet.

In its simplest form, negotiation is the art of giving up a little of your prerogative to take a big chunk of the same from the person on the other side of the business deal. Think of it as the tool that will get you what you want if utilized properly, yet that will keep you stifled and unable to accomplish anything at all if not honoured properly and applied conscientiously thereafter.

To successfully negotiate within a global marketing network, you need to first understand negotiation strategies from the point of view of the person with whom you are dealing. Specifically if the person hails from a different country where cultural differences will impact negotiation skills and methodology, you will need to understand what you are getting into prior to the onset of the negotiation session.

Next, you need to know your absolute bottom line. For example, if you must make at least $100 in a deal in order to just break even, would live easier with $150 because it will allow you to rid yourself of a business debt but want to really make $175 because it will not only rid you of the debt but also sock away some money for your own salary, then you will be wise to start your negotiation at a higher vantage point, say $225, so that you will be able to give in somewhat.

Starting much higher will make you seem unreasonable and the other person will know that you are grossly overstating your figure, while starting too low will not give you a lot of negotiation power that allows you to demand ample concessions from the other side in response to your lowering your price. Sometimes global marketing network fail because one party is not familiar with the art of negotiation and will try to simply impose their will on the other business person.

If you are the aggressor, please note that this approach will fail in the long run even if it succeeds in the short run simply because the other business person will not want to come back to the negotiation table with you. Similarly, the only time that an aggressive negotiation technique will pay off for you could be the event of a one time deal where you do not have to foster an amicable atmosphere or generate goodwill that may be advantageous for future global marketing network dealings.

Considering the fact that in the network marketing industry this almost never happens, aggressive tactics should not be utilized unless you are extremely confident that you are in the position of ultimate strength with respect to the negotiation.

The first step toward closing more prospects on a YES decision is not in the close when you ask the closing question. Rather, the first step toward closing begins with your first point of contact with your prospect, when you begin your conversation with your prospect. It is in the rapport building part of the sales process, the place where you open communication.

Chances are you are not closing as much business as you would like. And you most likely do NOT need more leads. What you need is to close the prospects you already have.

As marketers we are often in a prospecting and selling mode, which has us focused on trying to make first contact or even just trying to generate a lead through our marketing efforts. But even with having a steady flow of leads (often an overabundance of leads), we all too often think what we need are more prospects. And we often get trapped in a prospecting mode and focus too much on lead generation.

Now don't take this wrong, as lead flow is important - extremely important. However, most marketers get stuck in that part of the process to the point where they begin to think what they need are even more prospects and a ton of leads.

Let's face the facts! Rarely do we need more leads. What we need is to become more efficient and more effective in closing the prospects we have already made contact with. This means mastering our closing skills and mastering those skills to where we are closing in a work smart way.

Keep in mind, as you begin to build your business, whether you are retailing products or services, or recruiting distributors, getting to a YES decision is in your hands. The great news is closing is simple and easier to do than most people think that it can be done.

One lesson that served critical to my success was I learned early on the secret to closing is directly tied to understanding what closing is and is not. The secret simple way to close more sales effectively is to make sure you understand closing. This means that as you begin your skill enhancement on your ability to close, make sure you fully understand what closing is. Simply defined, closing is getting the prospect to make a decision. This means to buy something (a product or service), to get more information, or not to buy. It is making a decision.

Most marketers have trouble with understanding closing. Most never close their prospects on a decision. They have great conversations but never get the prospect to that important decision.

Keep in mind, if you open the prospect (by prospecting and starting the conversation), where they begin looking at what you offer, it is YOUR responsibility to help that prospect make a decision. This means closing the prospect on a decision.

Closing is an important and critical part of the sales process. So, don't leave your prospect hanging in an area of indecision. Get the prospect to a decision. It is your responsibility to not only learn and master the proper closing techniques but it is also your responsibility to help the prospect get to a decision.

TIP - Without using proper closing techniques, very few prospects will make a decision.

Do not fear closing, rather embrace closing. Know you will be a more effectively aggressive as a closer if you do the prior steps that lead up to the close. This means approaching and involving your prospect through the sales process, overcoming objections, and most importantly, understanding what your prospect wants and offer a solution best fit to those wants.

As a final note, effective closing is not just about your ability to close but it also ties into other related skills such as approach and involvement, overcoming objections, qualifying, and many other skills areas, all of which affect your ability to close effectively.

If you've ever been in a conversation with a prospect, then you have had to deal with objections. It's simply a fact of business that prospects will have objections. In order to move the prospect forward on a decision to do business with you, you will need to overcome the prospect's objection. Unfortunately, for most marketers handling and overcoming an objection from the prospect is difficult.

I believe one of the biggest reasons most marketers in the Direct Selling Industry struggle with having to handle and overcome objections is due to underdeveloped skills in overcoming objections. You see, if you knew how to handle the objection in a way that came naturally for both you and your prospect, you would be more effective not only in overcoming the objections, but you would also close more sales.

Objections can hold up and stall any sale. Objections are unavoidable and the objection your prospect gives can be direct or indirect. It can also be completely absurd and irrational or make sense and very logical. To an inexperienced marketer, especially one who has underdeveloped skills in overcoming objections, to have to deal with an objection can become a major
obstacle that will stand in the way of getting more prospects saying yes and doing business with them.

A little know secret technique to effectively overcoming objections is to view overcoming of objections is really just answering questions. Knowing how to overcome objections requires knowing how to effectively answer your prospect's questions. However, for most people, objections are viewed as something negative and creates often an overtone of the marketer's response to come across as a defensive response.

One of the biggest mistakes people make when handling objections is they believe and perceive the prospect is being negative. This is especially common for the inexperience marketer or those who have never fully developed their objection handling skills.

The fact is we are in a relationship business. To build and nurture relationships requires effective communication. Handling and overcoming objections is part of the communication. And effective communication often does not happen because most of us just try to wing it or read from some list of frequently asked questions. The sad part about this is approaching
objections in this way only creates frustration, which can shut down communication.

While most marketers come into the Direct Selling Industry without the proper developed skill set required for getting their job done, a very natural approach to overcoming objections can be learned quickly. It will take time and effort to master this natural approach, but once learned, if applied consistently in all conversations you have with prospects, you will be perceived as empathetic, professional, non-pushy, and one who answered their question right away with confidence, credibility, and honesty. The result from such an approach will be win/win, meaning you win and your prospect wins.

I have met two persons, who both are in the work at home internet business. Another one makes around $ 1.700 a month. She is very happy and says that actually she is above her targets and could not believe ever to reach it. Another one makes $ 15.000 a month and is totally unhappy, because his target is to make at least $ 20.000!

So the question is about your work at home internet business targets. As we see from the above examples, the targets must fit for you, they must be realistic. The target has a tight link with the motivation: if you will reach the target or even go over, your motivation grows and vice versa.

When a newbie starts the work at home internet business, he just cannot set the targets as to the sales. It is impossible without know how and even dangerous as to the motivation. On that phase it is better to set only learning targets, because then you will learn how to set the salestargets.

To become successful you have protect your motivation, which is and will be the engine of your home business. The great want to run the business so well, that you maintain the motivation.

The most successful marketers have concentrated only into learning during their early days as newbies. They have started by following and learning from those who had already done it, been there, the most respected and experienced home business marketers.

But where to meet them? Well, the best place to meet them is a forum. That is also otherwise a good place to hang around if you want to learn the latest tips and get good business connections. They are real home business universities!

The work at home internet business forum is also a good place to understand on what level you are in this business. You see, which determines your level is the comparison to other competitors. To be able to make a success, you just have to beat many of them using your know how.

One sure way to work at home internet business success is to go on slowly. The hurry has destroyed more businesses than any other behaviour. You see, the learning and the use of creativity do not like tight timetables. The understanding needs time.

The learning process is very motivating, when you feel, that now you understand a topic. It is like climbing ladders step by step. Actually you will add new information and skills on the top of the old ones. The skill to be sensitive to the information is valuable!

A newbie must be careful with the hype promises on the market. Those work at home internet businesses just overpromise and underdeliver. The result is the loss in motivation, your most valuable asset!

When you submit your articles, there are several tricks that you can follow to make sure that your articles end up where you want them to be, and in the right frame of reference. Remember, writing articles is something that a lot of people can do, but submitting articles is something that might take a little bit more time and patience. You want to be sure that you are submitting articles in the right kind of way, and that they have a real chance of getting published, sold, or getting you noticed.

That said, there are several tricks that you can follow when you want to submit your articles. First of all, you want to make sure that you have followed through on the article directions exactly. If this is an article that you have written for a specific purpose, or using the guidelines of a specific site, you want to make sure that you are following these guidelines exactly, and that you haven't left anything out. This is the best way to make sure that you are able to get the most out of your article submission. Sometimes, your article will not be submitted if it does not follow the directions exactly.

Next, if your article either follows all of the guidelines, or if your article is one that was written without guidelines, there are some things that you can do to make sure that the submissions is successful. The first of course, is to carefully proof read your article and make sure that there aren't any errors. Errors are going to be your biggest problems when it comes to articles, so you want to be sure that your articles are error free and that you are able to submit them easily and without too much trouble. The best way to make sure that this happens is to take a good look at your articles and be sure that they follow all of the guidelines.

The next thing that you want to do is to make sure that your article and everything in it is labeled correctly. This is one of the hardest things to do, because labeling articles is a tough action. There might be some different categories that you can put the articles in, and there also might be other headlines that you can use for your articles. This means that you have to be sure that you are putting your article into the right place. Your article should be labeled correctly and it should also be using the right kind of subheadings and other things to make it do the most that it can for you.

There are some other things to consider in order to get your article submitted successfully. Remember that your article should be informative. It should also be to the point and exciting, so that you can make the most out of the information that you have. Your article should also be useful, because no one is going to want to read an article that is not useful.

Sometimes we paint a huge bulls-eye on our chest and ask to be shot. That's how I felt a few years ago when I entered a multi-level-marketing (MLM) business for all the right reasons. Coming from a professional background and having held high-level positions in reputable companies, I came in with the purest business heart. I thought the product and vision of the company matched my own, which was to deliver real value to my clients and in-turn, build a long-term sustainable revenue stream. That is where I discovered the MLM dilemma and it taught a valuable lesson in humility and business.

The message sounds wonderful to most people, "Just a few hours per week and fire your boss". Sound familiar? Most MLM companies rely on one thing to drive real profits: people acquisition. So the sales pitch is based on achieving financial freedom and the benefits of entrepreneurship, rather than on the mechanics of how to get business or the tangible product. First and foremost, MLMs have to sell the business opportunity to make money. The product or service almost becomes inconsequential and, because of the commission structure, the company has to charge outrageous monthly fees or product costs in order to return a profit for the upline representatives.

Based on my research there are many MLMs who are trying to bridge the gap and are providing products and services that benefit their representatives in the areas of health, the environment and personal finances. But most representatives still fail to meet their personal expectation set by the MLM when they joined: to acquire financial freedom. I believe this is the biggest reason why the MLM industry has been given a black eye. Not because they present inherently bad business opportunities, but rather the expectation they sell to the consumer.

As consumers, we can only blame ourselves. These MLM companies have figured out what we buy. We won't spend a lot of money to drink the next greatest protein shake but we will invest heavily in freedom. If you are currently in a network marketing or MLM business or considering joining one, here a few simple questions to ask:

1. Is there a real way to make money without just selling the business opportunity?
2. If I am unable to sell and market the business opportunity effectively, is the product I'm expected to buy on a monthly basis fairly priced and valuable in some way to me personally?
3. Will the business sell itself or do I need to develop tools and marketing strategies in order to succeed?
4. If I'm not part of the founding organization, is there an opportunity to still generate wealth?
5. Is the product I'm selling part of a fad or is there long term potential for growth?

Answering these questions will better set your expectations and bring you closer to determining if the business opportunity is a good fit for you. Many of us may still need to try on a few more before we find the right one, but I believe MLM businesses with the right commission structure and a unique selling proposition can find a favorable place in the business community.

------------------ ARTICLE START ------------------

Simplicity in networking a multi-level marketing business is essential to success. Not only do you need to have a quality product or service, similar to a traditional business, you need to have a simple networking plan that is easy for new recruits to duplicate. This duplication process is necessary for the multi-level marketing aspect of your business to thrive.

A complicated networking system will only decrease the success of a multi-level marketing business. Even if you are able to utilize a complex networking infrastructure yourself, those who sign up under you may not fare as well. Not all entrepreneurs are adept at communication and sales skills. A universally accessible and easy to understand system that can be used by even the newest member of your multi-level marketing team will best serve your business. A system that is appropriate for an 18 year old fast-food employee as well as an 80 year old volunteer is the ultimate goal.

There are several aspects that should NOT be included in your networking plan.

Time consuming concepts, intricate training processes and any resources that are not readily accessible by the general public should all be avoided.

Wordy sales pitches should be avoided. A sales pitch should be condensed down to the basic information in everyday terms and should be delivered with enthusiasm and confidence.

High pressure sales techniques and complex interpersonal interactions have no place in multi-level marketing.

Your networking plan cannot be time consuming. Most customers will not stay interested and focused for more than a few minutes unless the sales pitch is phenomenal and most business owners are unable to smoothly deliver a lengthy presentation.

Your networking presentation should be quick to learn, easy to remember and simple to understand so that new recruits can deliver the pitch with ease and confidence. Keep the facts honest, to the point and all inclusive. Concealing important information will be considered dishonest by consumers and will most likely cost you the sale.

Your networking framework should not be burdened with unnecessary sales techniques, product details or drawn out pleas for a buy in. Find out what motivates your target audience, adapt a sales pitch to meet their needs and give them the bottom line of the deal. You should choose wording that creates interest and excitement in your product or opportunity. If you believe in your product, present a positive mental attitude and teach others on your multi-level marketing team to do the same, you will then be on your way to a successful home-based business.

As you develop and adapt your networking plan, ask yourself if the changes are easy to duplicate. If they are, then your plan is sound for multi-level marketing success. Keep it simple and make sure that others can follow in your footsteps without venturing too far outside their own comfort zone. A confident, positive and enthusiastic sales pitch is far better than a complex, lengthy presentation when aiming for success with a multi-level marketing business.

When author Ann Sieg released her report "The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing" it literally sent shock waves through the industry.

Many established and old time network marketers reacted angrily to the report and with very good reason. Sieg was bold enough to tell it like it is and confirmed for many struggling distributors that maybe they have been lied too all these years.

So what was written to cause such an angry response? Basically, Sieg exploded several myths in "The 7 Great Lies" such as:

- the "3 foot rule"
- your upline will build your business for you
- you don't need to have any sales skills and
- and anyone can do this

In essence, Ann Sieg literally attacked the old outdated methods of building an MLM business suggesting it's the reason why 90% of people will "toss in the towel" in the first 90 days.

Is she right? Well, statistics don't lie and there has to be a reason why there is such a huge attrition rate in the industry. Maybe she went a little overboard in suggesting MLM'ers have been lied too but sooner or later, someone was going to take a stand and question publicly the merits of offline recruitment strategies.

One of the most profound statements ever made is "if you do something over and over again and expect to get a different result then you'll just keep spinning your wheels" is probably the best way to describe the message within "The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing."

We now live in a communication age dominated by the internet. What happens when you join an MLM company and are told to make a list of everyone you know from family to friends to casual aquaintances? You are going to exhaust that list pretty quickly and worse still, you'll more than likely alienate yourself with some people who will see you as someone pushing the latest "pyramid scheme" onto them.

So what's the answer when the list becomes redundant? Where do you source your prospects from? This is the "brick wall" most distributors are confronted with. They are told time and time again to attend meetings and have faith in the system but let's be honest, that's all well and good but without prospects in MLM you are "dead in the water."

This is the point in a distributor's life when the only alternative is to get out because monthly autoship payments alone can become insurmountable financial obstacles which they simply cannot sustain.

The answer is to create cashflow in your business from day one even if you don't sign anyone into your business. Is that possible? Sure, and "The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing" is the platform to achieving this exact system.

are crippling your MLM success? Read Ann Sieg's controversial report for free at:http://breakthrough.the7greatliesofnetworkmarketing.com

When becoming a network marketing distributor, it is constantly vital to stay on top of the most effective practices of today that create businesses that continue to grow and prosper. Below you will find six of the best practices that numerous highly rated leaders in MLM follow in order to become a success in furthering business ventures.

* No matter if you market across the Internet, offline, or both; it is important to always possess a budget for advertising. Marketing is key to the growth and lifeline of your business. In order to achieve continuous drive, stay with the budget you have set for a year. By the end of the year, rate how well you have performed and make necessary changes when necessary.

* Stay in constant contact with your team. Touching base can take place over the telephone or by sending a simple email. This is significant in establishing the best strategies in business, especially if you are serious about business growth that involves the complete team. Those who have joined on have most likely made the decision because they have faith in you. This doesn't stop once they have joined, so constant contact is a must. Once your team expands, you may not have the time to have frequent conversations. Yet, you can still keep your top leaders informed and show them how to successfully manage their own people. This helps create beneficial team support.

* Consistency in lead generation is essential. Your position as a network marketing distributor means you need a never-ending flow of interested prospects. The system you rely on to bring in prospects must prove duplicatable. This means that it needs to be so uncomplicated that a beginner or veteran can catch on without any hassles.

* Make sure to create successful leaders. The ideal member of your team should want to do what it takes to succeed or show willingness to try new approaches. You don't want to have a collection of people who will quit at the first sign of opposition or failure. Leaders are also responsible for making sure distributors place orders for products. There is no complaining to their upline or downline. Those who have specific goals, dreams, and objectives make good leaders. They are the type of people who will take over a meeting if you are unable to. You should strive to enlist leaders that possess a great deal of strengths.

* A written plan is important. Professional network marketing distributors should always have a written plan that details how they will approach accomplishing their goals. This is a task that needs revamping every week. Working on achieving set goals is significant and at the end of the week, you will have a chance to review your success. If you are unhappy with the results, simply make changes for the week that follows.

* Explore the marketing approaches that can work best for you and plan to master this path. You could become a whiz at article writing, blogging, e-zine marketing, or producing online videos. If you are undecided on what to do, try what others have succeeded in until you find your niche.

In order to succeed as a network marketing distributor and leader, remember that following what has worked for others can help you achieve success. Take the time to become familiar with these techniques, use them often, and watch as your business begins to grow.

Multi-level marketing businesses are prolific in North America. New companies crop up every year as others fade away into the background. A few old standbys remain year after year but all are tainted with rumors and fears of becoming involved in an illegal pyramid scheme or being taken advantage of by a scam artist. Knowing what to look for can help you determine if the MLM business you are considering is a legitimate one.

What is a Multi-Level Marketing Business?

A multi-level marketing home-based business involves the direct selling of products or services through the recommendations or endorsements of independent business representatives and building a team of fellow entrepreneurs to do the same.

If you are the business owner, you receive a commission on all direct sales. The difference between a traditional business and a multi-level marketing business is that these individual business owners also recruit other people to start their own MLM business selling the same products and recruiting their own team. The businesses all have uplines and downlines, with each business sponsoring the birth of new businesses, their downline, which become the existing business owner's team members.

The uplines also receive a commission from the products that those in their downline sell. The more people you get to sign up, the greater the commission. This plan forms a type of residual income that can continue for a time without the upline business owner selling any further products.

True multi-level marketing businesses are legitimate, legal money making opportunities and always involve direct sales of products and/or services. They are not pyramid schemes that take advantage of the businesses on the bottom rung, in fact, legit multi-level marketing business owners help new businesses by investing time, guidance, training and often financial resources to ensure the success of the new business owner. An illegal pyramid scheme always pays the upline more than the downline. One simple test for the legality of an MLM is that if the downline works harder than their upline then they will surpass the uplines' income level.

Some scams require a new business owner to invest large sums of money up front while promising large profits with little to no selling of products. Others simply collect the sign up cash and leave the new business owner to fend for themselves. A legitimate initial financial investment should be directly proportional to the cost of the products or services you will be promoting. Anything above and beyond this figure should throw up a red flag to the potential business owner.

Many people are turned off by multi-level marketing businesses simply because they involve selling products and services. These contacts may be unwilling to venture into a business of their own, but they may purchase products from an individual business and provide them with invaluable contact information of other people who may be interested in purchasing products, referring others or beginning their own multi-level marketing business. These 'customer only' contacts are an important part of an MLM business.

Spotting a legitimate multi-level marketing business versus a scam is easier if you understand the basic qualities that set a true MLM opportunity apart from an illegal scam.

Legitimate multi-level marketing business owners operate independently of the parent company, but have support from those who will profit from their product sales.

True multi-level marketing businesses sell products that are already manufactured and have a marketing plan in place.

The business does not promise unlimited wealth for little or no effort.

The commission structure pays on both product/service sales AND downline development.

The company has been in business longer than two years and has a proven track record of success.

Investing in your own multi-level marketing home-based business can be a wise financial decision for some people, but it is important to avoid becoming involved in illegal scams. If the company's goals are realistic and the fees are proportionate to the cost of the products being sold, the company is most likely a legitimate multi-level marketing opportunity.

Here are four questions for you:

1.Do you find it challenging to answer the question, "What's your Unique Selling Position (USP)?"
2. Do you talk about the features of your product or service verses addressing the benefits by answering (before they ask) "So what's so good about that?"
3.Do you discount your actions or accomplishments with statements like, "Oh that, it was nothing"?
4.Do you believe it is vanity to think you are something special - that you have a talent or gift unique to you and no one else can do exactly what you do?

If you answered yes to any one of those questions - keep reading.

In business it's important to highlight those things that set you apart from others in your industry. In the past 30+ years I've worked with hundreds of individuals, in many different arenas, getting them to see how they are "unique".

I had a revealing dream wherein I was hanging out in an old shanty looking at photos of several of our female relatives and they were in full dress green Marine Corps uniforms. I remember thinking, I know this person and she hadn't been in the Marines, so I asked when she had enlisted. The person I was talking with answered me "she went in just a few years ago". Hmmm. The problem was she was a grandmother.

I woke up reviewing. In reality, none of my female relatives served in the military. Yet, there I was, going through these dream pictures looking at them as Corporals' and Sergeants' doing things that I, a Former Marine had done myself.

The dream was about the desire to discount what I do. The "oh that was nothing" statement when someone delivers a compliment. There have been times that I was extremely uncomfortable with the question "what makes you unique". Over the years I have realized that I was NOT unique in that "discomfort".

Often times in the discomfor of expressing our uniqueness we fall back to these template driven statements - the elevator speech, or Audio Business Card, that sounds like one of these:

"Hi I'm Jane/John Doe and I am a therapist / coach / chiropractor.." OR
" Hi I'm Jane/John Doe and I paint houses / design websites / teach computer skills..." OR
" Hi I'm Jane/John Doe and I sell health / skin care / home care products (by brand name if they feel the brand is a strong hook)..."

We then proceed to tell every feature our product provides. And even the slowest elevator isn't enough time to get...e v e r y t h i n g...in.

I know. I've done this too. In truth, our reaction is , "So what?" You provide "quality service", "excellent products" . . . and so do a thousand other people.

We still have avoided the key element - what makes YOU unique for promoting that product.

In Deepak Chopra's book, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, he writes that the 7th Spiritual Law is the "Law of Dharma". In short, that law says when you combine your unique talent with service to humanity you make full use of the Law of Dharma. Your actions, coming from a place of your unique talent(s) bring about wealth. This wealth is manifest in various ways including health, spirit, relationship, and financial.

My friend, Chellie Campbell, a well-known author on creating weath, could be classified as a Financial Coach. If you saw her as just that you'd miss the mark. Looking deeper into her USP, Chellie helps thousands with her unique, insightful and heartwarming approach to money, different than any other financial coach. She is abundantly successful today by being honest and totally "Chellie" down to her gold and jeweled tennis shoes, in addition to serving others with her "USP".

It is not vanity to know that you are special. It is not ego (Edging God Out) to move through life as if you are unique. Even Christ said "Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Somehow, along the way, I like many others, massaged that statement into the idea that I am to abase myself. I must be sure that others see every good thing I do as a "work of God" and every bad thing I do as a result of my humanity or "humanness". I am not advocating the "glorification of man" just that we were told to let OUR light/work shine. In that simple act - God is glorified. It is in this "uniqueness" that we are all the same.

Spend some time today, tomorrow or as long as it takes, getting to know what makes you unique. What is it that you have to offer, from the inside out, that makes you different from everyone else?

When you do that first - all of the beauty and success you desire will be yours.

Kira Wagner lives by embracing choices and getting results. Born to blind parents, she knows the only handicaps are those we place on ourselves.

Referral relationships of all kinds are often perceived as very delicate things that require extra effort to maintain. However, a referral relationship can also be something that can provide security and can also be long lasting, despite times of challenge.

Building an effective and lasting referral relationship is a necessity for several reasons.

Let's look at this from the perspective of a growing organization.

For example, in a group or organization, the well being of the people depends on how efficient and effective that group or organization works. The relationships of the group or organization is also dependent on how the members work well with management.

Society is defined as a web of relationships, which requires all parties to work and contribute their share in order to achieve a common goal. Having a referral relationship that is good, where cooperation and respect are manifested, just makes things work better. In this way each member works for the good of the whole and towards achieving a common goal. This can only be attained with effective and efficient relationships.

Understanding the other parties' feeling and position creates an effective and efficient word-of-mouth relationship. The easiest method to understand what is important to another party is to ask them what they want out the relationship. Then tisten to what they have to say.

Effective and efficient referal relationships require parties to openly express their feelings and positions on all matters pertinent to the relationship.

Respect is the key to relationship. In order to create a more effective referral relationship, parties should treat each other with respect. We can show respect just by listening to the other party and by trying sincerely to understand how they function. You can also show respect to other parties by confirming that they are doing everything they can.

The opposite of respect is quick forming of judgements based on unfounded facts and prejudice. Bad news.

Respect is the very foundation for a great referral relationship. This also means respecting yourself and respecting others.

Effectively listening and no pre-judging: This is important if parties to both sides of the referral relationship are to understand each other.

Referral relationships are important to anyone. Addressing issues and problems right away is a must to further improve the relationship. As they say 'No Man is an Island'.

Here's a tip:Focus on becoming better friends and continue to build a relationship with clients, customers and colleagues by anticipating needs and beating them to the punch.

I have a saying, "Referrals love speed." Essentially what I mean is that referrals and introductions happen more consistently with the more action you take--and the faster you take that action. You can do so by actively sharing information that the other person finds useful to their own lives. Provide value to others in their over-hectic, frantic and stressed world. This creates T-O-M-A. top-of-mind-awareness.

For example, you may be able to offer a suggestion to a person where they are able to make more money. Or show them a current competitor's marketing approach that you have noticed. The idea is to become a valued, welcomed partner and share information that helps them improve their personal or business lives.

Action Step: Categorize all clients, prospects and colleagues by interest levels. Subscribe to trade journals and local newspapers, and make a conscious effort to look for news that would interest them. Reach out with this information frequently.

Although many people scoff at network marketing as a pyramid scheme, it is one of the best business models available to entrepreneurs today. The problem is that most people who start out in the business don't know how to market properly and/or they expect unrealistic results "right away" with little to no effort on their part. Therefore, they quit and go back to their job telling everyone around them "what a scam network marketing is," just to justify their own failure.

Why Most Network Marketing Prospects Fail

96% of people who enter into network marketing ultimately fail. That's right, only four percent actually succeed and stick with it.

Why is this? This network marketing virus is caused by business leaders who place ads that have phrases in them like, "It's easy, anyone can do it," "make thousands from your own home in three weeks," "100k in six months, guaranteed," etc.

Network marketers place these ads because they want their marketing to produce the most calls and leads. Yes these ads do pull a lot of calls, however they are the wrong type of people at the other end of the phone.

People who respond to these ads do not have what it takes to make it as an entrepreneur. They are looking for the next get rich quick scheme to give them monumental success in a very short period of time without really learning the business and applying themselves.

These prospects may seem really eager and determined at first, but that will quickly fade as they realize that network marketing is no joke. Most prospects come in with such high emotions that they get crushed and depressed when things don't work out for the short term.

To be the best in network marketing you need to be calm and collected no matter what happens with your business. Otherwise you will be an emotional roller coaster as the ups and downs of this business will ride you into insanity.

What the Best Network Marketing Gurus Know

Ever wonder why only such a small percentage of the network marketing population makes over six figures a year? It is because they know a few things others don't. If you want to become wealthy you need to know what it takes to be the best:

* Clear, specific goals
* Persistence
* An unwavering belief that you will succeed
* Dedication (time and resources)
* Willingness to learn
* Positive Thinking
* Excellent marketing and business strategies

The Best Network Marketing Secret

If you want to learn the best network marketing business building technique you need to first understand why someone would be attracted to join your opportunity. I know it may be hard to believe, (because of the generic training tapes your company gave you about how great their product is) but people do not join your organization for the opportunity or the product.

There are a ton of network marketing opportunities and products that are all great and offer many advantages and benefits, so why bore prospects with the same crap everyone else is. Remember you are going after quality when you are looking for prospects, not quantity. So only market to people who already understand the network marketing model and believe in it.

Put yourself in their shoes. If they already understand the network marketing business model wouldn't they be looking for the best opportunity that offered them something more than an up-line who wants to make money off of them? This is the secret - you need to offer them an opportunity to join the best team in network marketing (your up-line, your down-line, and you).

Make it clear to them the goals of your team and that you are looking for other distinguished leaders to join and help grow the team. Finally, offer them ways to become the best by offering great educational business resources. This way they can continue to improve on their network marketing skills without having to go out and find the information themselves.

If you follow those steps you should be able to build an efficient and effective network marketing business. Remember to be the best you need to be persistent, learn from failure, and never stop educating yourself on how to improve in the business.

One of the things that stands out with businesses that have made a difference is that they are able to stand the test of time by having a history that speaks for them. Even if you have a brand new business and have not had the time to build a history, you can do things within your current business to make sure that the history that will be built for you is going to be positive, secure and is going to lead to success in the future. First of all, be sure that each of the things you are doing within your business is going to be done by the books.

You want to be sure that you are giving yourself all of the chances to succeed and even though it might be tempting to break some of the rules or to cut some of the corners to give yourself the upper hand, this does not sound well for building the kind of history you want to build. By making sure that everything you do is by the books and is completely correct and following all of the rules, you can be sure that no matter who looks at your business in the future or what they are exploring, they are not able to unearth anything that is not correct.

Along with following all of the rules and regulations, you have to be sure that your business is organized at all times. You want to be sure that you have all of the chances for success and organization is often the key to success. It is very important for you to keep all of the records organized and complete and for you to keep all of the details about your business organized. This will also help you to build a strong history that you can share with others for years to come.

Remember, there are several things that you can do even in the beginning of your business that will help you create a history right from the start. The best businesses are those that can be called organized, rule and regulation following and strong right from the start. Create professional business ties that you have right from the beginning and be sure that each aspect of your business is run in a professional way.

This means that each of the situations you find yourself in should be handled in a way that can always be called professional. This is very important for you to do and it is very important that you take care of all of these aspects for your business. You want to create situations in which, when asked about your business, anyone can say you are a professional ,that you follow the rules and that you are organized. These are the best ways for you to make sure that you are creating a good history right from the beginning.

Let's continue with the start-up, Scenario 1, which we were covering in Part 1 of this series. The web designer supplies no sales copy at all, so you have no content for your website or for the products that are at the wholesale warehouse. Also, you don't need to submit your site every month - for a multitude of reasons, and you don't need to have your site listed in 2,500 search engines.

If you have your site respectably listed with Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL, Netscape, and Alta Vista - that is a huge amount of traffic. It is arguable that you could be listed in another ten more of the top search engines, but 2,500 is ludicrous and will not bring in any significant traffic. Google, alone, is a juggernaut and brings us much more than 50% of our current traffic.

One more thing about services that constantly submit your site to the search engines, without changing any of the content; this is a form of spamming. The major search engines may penalize your ranking or ban you all together. Please consult with a qualified SEO expert, before getting repeatedly submitted to thousands of search engines that you don't need.

Scenario 2: A copywriter who lets his web designer dictate how his sales copy should look. Yes, this is a true story, and there are so many pretty colors on the page, you can't read the black type over them. Believe it or not, he also brokers web design services, and has web design listed as one of his services.

Again, does anyone smell a fire? If you can't read a web page, you should run as far as you can from the web designer. If a business website doesn't effectively sell, it's either the sales copy, or the web design that's not working; it's that simple - but you can avoid the problem by letting a competent copywriter have the last say.

You don't need a lot of color to have a great website that sells. Black print, on a light background, will do fine, and is easier on the eyes. Blue for hyperlinks is user-friendly and easily recognized. Bolding a headline, or sub-headline, is good. Using bullets, or check marks, to point out benefits, will help point the reader to what's in it for him or her.

Break up your paragraphs and air out your copy. You can use yellow for highlighting and for a background in your boxes. Use boxes for testimonials or very strong points. Using red in reserve for headlines, and sub-headlines, will draw eyes, so make sure you are drawing attention to something very important.

All of the above-mentioned web sales copy techniques are conservative, and all of them are highly effective on the Internet. Have a few people read the website to see what "buttons get pushed."

Lastly, please remember, if you want your site to sell, "content is King," and sales copy overrides design every time.

What is the primary purpose of your website? What is more important - your design or your sales? Who should you listen to - the copywriter or the web designer?

Hopefully, you are already clear on which is more important, but let's look at a few points to get through this impasse. Your website is either related to a business, hobby, or a charity. This classification will help you decide if sales, or design, should have the final say.

If you have a hobby, and want an interactive way to reach out to your fellow hobbyists, you can get a free Blog. There is no need to get involved with website design or a sales letter. So, save yourself a lot of extra work, time, and effort with a user-friendly Blog.

If your business is a legitimate charity, you do need a website, but your language on the cover page, has to be a soft approach. However, using the art of persuasion is also "selling." Sorry to be so blunt, but you are asking for donations, and you need to convince your visitors. Why should they send you funds, instead of sending it to another charity?

Lastly, if you have a business, don't listen to your web designer, when it comes to sales copy, sales process, or closing a sale. When your end goal is to close a sale, you cannot afford to become distracted from the primary purpose of your website. You also cannot afford to create diversions for your prospects. Below are two of the many sad stories I have seen, and heard, about marketing on the Internet and being confused about priorities.

Start up Scenario 1: A group of wholesale warehouses needs distributors, so they come up with an idea: Create websites that look like catalogs - in the neighborhood of $8,000, and tack on a fair monthly maintenance fee. For those of you who know the ropes, please hold back your laughter - there's much more.

All of the marketing, SEO, and coaching is "bare bones." They coach a novice for about an hour each on two of these three subjects, for a total of two hours. Your SEO program is limited to 10 keywords for the whole site, and you are submitted to 2,500 search engines every month for a year. They don't talk to you about unique title pages, meta tags, keywords, or content.

Do any of you smell a fire? Run as far away from this as you can, or talk to a trusted friend who is experienced with e-Commerce, before considering something like this. This is all legal, but they are literally sending these poor people "up a creek without a paddle," with an investment to oblivion.

You see, the most profitable and effective traffic is the organic, free and highly targeted traffic from the search engines. That requires that your website will rank high at the search result pages and that you have written a lot of optimized and related articles. When you have decided to do these, your question about how to start internet home business is solved. So the marketing is easy, just write articles and on the top of other benefits you will learn a lot.

1. How To Start Internet Home Business And How To Select The First Keywords?
First you will naturally select the topic for the article. Okay, after that you can write that topic into the keyword bar of your keyword selector software. Now you will get a lor of potential low and high demand keywords. The next thing is to research which keywords make it possible to climb to the top position at Google result pages. The best way is to select a high demand keyword for the core phrase and about five other keywords for the long tail, low demand keywords. In this way you can support your presence in several markets at the same time.

The target is to beat the present number one, so you have to research, why the number one is the number one. The key figure is the number and the quality of backlinks. To put it simply, you must be able to collect more backlinks than your competitor. The search engines use also athor elements for ranking but they are at least partly unknown, so lets concentrate on the backlinks.

If the keyword optimization is not well done and if the top site has no backlinks or minimal number your web site has the possibility to take that position. Note also that the positions of the different competitors will change all the time. The keyword optimization requires, that your keyword density is around 2 %, 2% of the article words are keywords.

2. The Article Content Must Be Useful And Encouraging.
The answer to the question on how to start internet home business with the articles works only, if the article content is useful for the reader and if the copy is encouraging. The major job of your article is to persuade the reader to click the the landing page link in the Author Box and to make him want more about the topic. The copystyle is the most important element so you can include the keywords so that they will naturally be parts of the article content. Remember that a great part of the readers are professional marketers, who will skip the reading if they see that it is badly optimized, i.e. the idea is only to fill the content with the keywords.

You can also pick the keywords for your internet business article, two or more, so that they follow each other, like internet business and internet business opportunity. This way you can easily put the keywords already into the title, without getting any problems with the beauty of the sentence. On the other hand keep in mind when you ponder how to start internet business, that the narrower keywords you have the more targeted or focused they are. And when you have managed with the narrow keywords, you can use wider ones later on.

It was funny how I came to this revelation, if you want to call it that, about buying network marketing leads.

I've been in the network marketing industry for about three years. Not a very long time by some peoples standard, but a long time considering that most people try their hand at it and then fail-vowing never to try it again.

So, I could say that I have enough experience to know the ins and outs of this industry. I also know most new people choose to build their business with network marketing leads.

If you've been in this industry any length of time, I'm sure you've been told that the only way to build a business is through your warm market and/or through buying network marketing leads.

It's true that you can build a business via leads. It's also true that most newcomers into this industry don't have enough experience to convert those leads into distributors or consumers in their business opportunity.

Very few people will be good enough at the beginning to make a profit at recruiting from network marketing leads. It takes time to get good. The problem, however, is that some people can't afford the time it takes to get good. Are you in this category?

In the meantime, while you are trying to get better at prospecting with these leads, and buying more and more of them, at the same time you are trying to keep up with the other expenses of running your business i.e. autoship, business brochures, CDs websites etc.; your expenses start quickly mounting up higher than your profits!

To make matters worse, some people, (do I dare so most?), market their business only one way. If they are buying leads, then they usually build their business solely on that-but they're not good at it and they don't make any money. Does that sound like you?

Let's take this a step further. Not only are your expenses mounting up, and profits are practically nonexistent, but you continue to buy the most expensive network marketing leads because your upline says you should; never mind the fact that you didn't call the last expensive batch of leads!

As you go on, the expenses keep adding up, and you can't get enough people into your business to justify buying the most expensive leads, but you continue to do so hoping things will change-but they don't and you get so frustrated that you quit your business altogether. Is that you?

Then the blame game starts. You blame the leads, you blame the business opportunity, and you blame your upline. You eventually get around to laying blame to where it really belongs-you.

Buying network marketing leads can add up over time, almost to the tune of hundreds to thousands of dollars-before you ever get good enough to recruit from purchased leads and make a profit.

You must have a big enough budget to sustain you as you build your business this way. You should also be marketing your business other ways besides buying leads and cold calling them. Remember this is the downfall of many entrepreneurs. You shouldn't market solely one way at all.

If you're getting sick of buying network marketing leads, it could be because you are relying to heavily on that one form of marketing to build your business or it could mean you just plum-outright don't like cold calling strangers.

Either which way you must decide what other marketing techniques you can use in place of or in addition to your lead calling. Quitting should not be an option because you don't like the marketing methods that were taught to you. You must discover the many other ways you can build your network marketing business. A well-rounded approach is the best approach to building your business.

Yes, MLM Leads Are Essential For Your Business To Grow, But At What Cost?

If you'd like to put your business into profit and sustain that profitability, then stop buying the so-called fresh, double opt-in, phone-interviewed leads for $5, $7 each.

You might be advised by your company or by your upline leader to promote your opportunity to these types of leads because they are the most responsive to your opportunity, stop that. Nothing can be further from the truth.

Just because you spend so much money on a lead does not mean that the quality is any better or that these leads are dying to join you in business as in often portrayed in this industry.

Let's think for a moment as a lead broker.

If I knew for a fact that these individuals are ready to start a business with credit card in hand, why would I sell these leads to anyone when I know that I can become myself a distributor and put these eager entrepreneurs right under me in my own downline?

My job as a broker is to sell leads; as such I would want to present these leads in the best light as possible in terms of the quality, their willingness to start a business, and in terms of their freshness.

This hyped-up concept of a lead is what you as a naive brand new distributor falls for and wind up pouring a large chunk of your budget into these leads. People are not produce and to expect that a lead is going to spoil with time like a grape or a banana is simple not accurate, it is more of a justification for the outrageous price these leads are sold for.

Growing a network marketing business demands that you learn about how to:

1. Purchase the right leads for your business.
Knowing how what types of leads to purchase is an essential components to bring your products or your services to the consumer market place. The best leads to buy are the leads that ensure your residual income, that's a consumer who is willing to exchange his money for the value of the products or services.

2. Create the leads yourself.
As you create the leads yourself, you can increase the quality of the lead by offering a report, access to a newsletter, a demo, special offers, or the like. By offering value early in the marketing process, you can capture their contact information for subsequent information.

3. Contact your target lead.
Whether you contact your prospects via e-mail or by phone, you need to develop the skills to grab their attention, hold their interest, get them to make a decision, and finally get them to take action on your products or services.

4. Prospect correctly.
The best method to market your products or services is to develop a script that sounds natural and it centers around the right lead who has the need, desire, and want for what you market, delivered at the right time to the prospect.

5. Invite the lead to consume your products.
To get your lead to exchange his money for the value of the product depends on your ability to demonstrate leadership, be able to overcome the objections, and help them enjoy the benefits your product promises.

6. Follow up on your lead even after he has become a consumer or a distribution channel partner.

Do you have a proven system that a new distributor can just plug right in? Can you show step by step how to get from point A to Z based on your own experience on how you were able to grow what you market? Can you invite a consumer using a reliable, cost effective way to join you in business? Can you show a new business partner how to reach and sustain profitability in his business?

These are questions and answers that are necessary to systematically grow your business in terms of how you can help others based on their own needs, not yours.

If any one of these pieces is missing, you will not capitalize the way you should and most often than not, you will spend your business out of existence. That's the biggest problem is our industry that people are not giving the proven MLM training as to how to bring a product or a service to the consumer market place and make the most effective use of leads so that your business is and remains in profit.

For instance, have you ever been shown how to track the cost of acquisition of a lead vs the time value of this new consumer or business partner that will ensure the profitability of your MLM business? I would venture to say that most probably never, that's not what your MLM company training touches on because if it did, soon its distributors will come to the realization that 95% of them are failing miserably. However, as a business owner, knowing this information is a key component in your business, you must be aware of.

Spending money on leads without the proper understanding of what to do once you get them is a sure way for you to join this 95% failure rate so prevalent in network marketing.

It's time to release the future of marketing from the headlock that you've put in. I'm talking about curmudgeons out there. While many have greeted Web 2.0 with open arms some refuse to embrace it and instead prefer to fight tooth and nail. If the past methods of marketing worked online no one would be eager to find new methods. This is the web--faster, fresher, better is expected.

Those expectations however, mean very little to those who want to control every aspect of the internet. Both the greedy geeks and SEO service sites are still trying to cling desperately to the old internet that they claim to have built. But that web is just that--old. Users, browsers, small business owners and even corporate moguls have decided that they want a say, they want to be part of the web building process.

There has never been a better time for Emarketers to take up SEO strategies. Because while it is still work, it's a lot easier than it was five years ago. For those who are unfamiliar with the concept of Web 2.0 strategies it's about the coming together of collective minds to contribute to the expansion of the web.

Web marketers are beginning to understand that they no longer have monopoly over content creation. And why would they want to. I, for one, welcome anyone who wants to add the expansion of my site by providing me with content that my users can use and further contribute too.

Web 2.0 strategies allow you to get in front of a lot of people a lot faster. With users passing around content and videos, sending links to like minded people, and posting in virtually every corner that will allow them, net marketers should be cheering instead of shaking their heads while they fumble around with the old methods.

Many Web 2.0 critics debate that it circulates crap and that competition for marketers is ridiculously fierce as everyone tries to get on the front page of virtually every news-feed out there. But I beg to differ. Google and other major search engines still have some say as to what gets ranked what. Also, as more and more content gets produced users become pickier as to what they consider "quality" and what "crap" is. As for the competition, this is marketing there has always been competition and there always will be.

If you've been sitting around trying to figure out what Web 2.0 is and whether or not to do it, stop thinking and start link sharing, social bookmaking, voting, and creating sticky content.

People can debate all they want the fact is the web has altered. The rules for the marketing game have changed. You are either in or out.

To me, success online can be found in the relationships you build. That is a subject you need to return to consistently. Building relationships on and off-line are necessary because it works to solidify your name with others. The more relationships you have in your specific niche, the more successful you will become. The lack of attention to relationship building holds most marketers back. Therefore, they are not making a commitment to building those successful dreams online.

In general, marketers never follow those practices for relationship building when starting out and consequently are the ones who are not making money. Marketers who are making money do follow a need to build relationships and follow that need very well!

Although, all of the key ingredients must be there, building relationships with other marketers is easy. A top sales letter is crucial with a great product to follow and absolutely an effective affiliate program. Also you must have targeted traffic to view your product. With all of these conditions met you can attract affiliates who will promote your product. If you have to give up most of your revenue to do it, do it.

What if you do not know a successful marketer? Well, then I suggest you spend the next several weeks getting to know someone you buy from and ask to be a JV. This is where your marketing practices and skills require meeting others, and building relationships.

What if you do not want to build relationships? You have to get outside your comfort zone and you have to do the necessary things it takes in order to make a lot of money online, and achieve your dreams. Therefore, you must work on building relationships

Some common questions people have are really just obstacles. Some examples include questions like, What if people do not like me. Well, I mentioned growth right? It is important for people to like you to work on growth. People like doing business with others they like. Read up and study how to get people to like you. I recommend How to Win Friends and Influence people by Dale Carnegie to help you in this area.

For the most part, we are all people just like anyone else. Top marketers have their faults. Some marketers have their disadvantages, issues and problems just like everyone else. In other words, you do not have to be some charismatic Anthony Robbins type person to do business in this industry.

You can just be yourself. Some people will not like you and that is fine. You can not please everyone all of the time. Honestly, who really cares? There are plenty of people who will like you and guess what?

They are most likely just like you. They have the same wants, desires and needs. They are like-minded people. They are interested in the same things you are interested in. Therefore, a pretty good chance exists they will like you, if you let them.

Sean Burton is an excelling marketer who is showing many that online success is not a myth but a reality. Just doing the basics is not enough you have to take action, the right action in order to succeed. http://www.rightchange4u.com/success-online/

If you haven't been using social bookmarking sites like, Digg.com and Digg-like sites, to generate traffic you are missing out on a large consumer potential. As the net becomes more interactive and users gain more decisiveness on what is and isn't "quality content," Digg-like sites continue to pop up to serve virtually every known online niche.

Digg is still a leading website when it comes to user generated and voted content. However, the site still does not cater to every niche. It is mostly a playground for techies and gadget geeks which leave those who write for other niches off the front page, and in some cases, off the website in general. Thus, more and more people are starting Digg-style sites that are niche specific.

These sites do pretty much the same thing that most social bookmarking sites do, which is to help people get their social news, while helping authors get their work exposed.

For Emarketing related content people are finding places like PlugIM.com and MarkTD.com are sending them more traffic than Digg ever has. Many websites, including Digg, are anti marketing which means that small business related topics rarely make it to the front page. However, finding and using a Digg-like site that pertains to your niche can greatly increase your traffic.

Some of theses sites offer a Digg It button to place on your site and if so, use it. The easy way for publishers to hasten their entry into the Digg and Digg-like ecosystem is to add this button or link to pages on their sites.

Surprisingly, considering the importance of social bookmarking, few publishers have done this. Having a Digg It button on your website encourages user participation, which increases your article exposure, traffic, and, ultimately, your sales.

Before publishing on Digg, look for "vertical" Digg-style sites to publish on because you will most likely receive more traffic from these sites because, even though they are much smaller, they are more closely related to your niche.

There are several lists online that you can use to find Digg-like sites that work for you. Simply Google your niche and the terms "Digg-like", "Digg-style" or "Digg clones."

Keep in mind however, that these are all communities that you have to be active in to gain the real benefits. That means submitting content frequently, voting early and voting often. Many webmasters admit to getting traffic from leaving comments on other users' content almost as much as they get traffic from their own content.

As it gets harder and harder to reach Digg's front page, people will be looking elsewhere for their social news. Web masters should consider trying all the Digg-like sites out there that relate to their niche to see what does well for your site's content. And if worse comes to worse and you can't find your niche in any category create your own Digg-clone.

Learn How To Generate Your Own Free, Unique, And Best MLM Leads Who Will Call You First For More Information.

Stop Buying Opportunity Seeking MLM Leads.

If you're looking for ways to grow your MLM business, then you must not follow what others distributors do, buy opportunity MLM leads.

Buying these type of leads for $5, $7, phone interviewed, real-time, double opt-in leads will without a doubt render your business in bankruptcy in the short term.

There are basically two types of MLM leads you can use to grow your home-based business:

1. Buyers mlm leads.
Make the best leads to grow your business. These are people who have shown a propensity to consume like products from the one you are marketing.

Humans are creatures of habits and by focusing on marketing to people who have already bought similar products, you can have a better shot at demonstrating value for the exchange of cash.

2. Response mlm leads.
For the most part these MLM leads are people who answered an ad the previous evening for an off chance to earn a free toaster.

These are the MLM leads that upline use in their coop programs to suck the money out of your pocket and put you right out of business.

Coop MLM lead programs based on radio/TV advertisements are nothing more than a way for your upline leader to get his MLM leads for free. In fact, in some MLM organizations, the upline leader not only he manages to get his this MLM leads for free passing the cost to you, but also he also manages to profit from it, thus converting his MLM lead program into a profit center.

When you buy these types of leads from your upline leaders or participate in lead co-op programs you throw your money away because these leads are so expensive compared to their responsive rate.

Even if you manage to get recruits into your business, the minute they fail to make any money from the business, they will simply quit leaving you with wasted investment dollars and a feeling of frustration.

You'd go broke long before you put your business at a profit. This factor is one single reason why distributors fail miserably in network marketing.

Not knowing how /where to find prospects interested in their products. The natural implication is that the most expensive a lead is, the better quality the lead is.

Some MLM lead brokers often time, sell the notion that these people are looking for an opportunity and are ready standing by to listen to your business opportunity and are ready to join in.

Imagine if the quality of these brokers' leads were as good as they say it is, why don't they just use these leads to put them in their own businesses.

Why would the brokers or even the upline leaders even sell you these leads when they could easily use them to grow their own organizations?

The hard reality of this business is that ready-to-join leads don't exist. Rarely anyone is able to put his business into profit using these highly hyped-up, expensive MLM leads.

Why you won't succeed with these MLM leads?

Good question.

1. Most mlm leads are sold many times over. If you were to call these leads, you could find out that a few other marketers have already made calls to them and depending on the frequency of these calls, you could find yourself annoying your leads.

2. Opportunity seekers leads are expensive. To put the mathematics of marketing on your side, you would also need to talk to hundreds of prospects at very affordable price/lead. The usual cost of opportunity seeking leads will not allow you to add the mathematics on your favor without breaking your bank.

3. Opportunity seeking MLM leads are all hyped-up leads because there is not a single person who has not been pitched about some business opportunity in the past. Everyone is searching either actively or passively for a better way to generate income.

A lead that can be compared in terms of his desire for "opulence" with just anyone else off the phone book, why then pay such an outrageous amount of money for it when you can just use the phone book to get them?

There are many things to learn as you build a network marketing business. Finding leads for 10, 12, 15 cents each is essential to put the marketing of mathematics on your side.

If you were to do an 180 degree turn and instead of marketing your opportunity to make a bunch of money, you were to market your products or services, then you could have access to a web of leads based on the consumption of these products.

As such you can find any lead brokers that caters to your niche. Weight loss leads, coffee drinkers leads, travel leads, medical/dental plan leads, etc. These leads are offered in the market place for as little as 10 cents each.

Learning where and how to find the best leads of people who are interested in purchasing your products or services is of paramount importance to your business, in fact potential consumers make the life blood of any home-based network marketing business.

If you're serious about building a home based business in network marketing, then you must figure how to get the best quality of people who are looking for the products or services you are marketing.

Here's a million dollar question?

If You Must Create Your Own Audience For Your Products As A Way To Grow Beyond Your Warm Market, Where Do You Find MLM Leads Of People Who Are Interested In What You Have?

Good question, right?

There are two ways to do this:

A. Resource to an mlm lead broker.
Work with a honest lead broker who would stand by his leads and make sure that these leads are based on the products or services you're marketing. A good broker should allow you to sample a small size of his database and allow for exchanges in cases of a high disconnect rate, wrong numbers, etc.

B. Create the mlm leads yourself.
The best quality lead you can get is the one you can create for yourself. By setting up a lead capture page, bringing targeted traffic to that web site, and putting a series of messages in front of that prospect, you can create, manage, and market your products to that prospect who has shown an inclination to consuming your products/services.

Using a lead capture page on the Internet is similar to what lead brokers use to generate the opportunity MLM leads which in term, they sell to you at such inflated price.

There is a lot more to using the Internet to generating your own MLM leads to grow your business. The steps above are just a synopsis on how to do that.

Bottom line, your cost of acquisition of a new customer or distributor must make financial sense in the grand scheme of things, otherwise your business bleeds and eventually you could be forced out of the business like the rest 90% of distributors who do so every year.

Don't be part of the pack, learn the skill set of a marketer so that you can put the marketing back into your network marketing business.

I can go over all sorts of strategies on how to make money online. I can cover creating niche information products or Adsense or CPA and all sorts of strategies.

A few hours of searching forums and you will be hammered with strategies. The key ingredient to making money online most over look is the basic method of making friends, building relationships and communicating with others. After all you why do you want to be successful online? Does your success mean leaving people you don't like and nurture those relationships with your family at home or just increase your income? What ever your choice is it needs to be about how you want to relate with others.

Building relationships is the foundation on which to build your financial success. One big JV, e-book, list building campaign or product and you are in the game. However, you need to build quality relationships in order to stay with the successful crowd.

You have to develop key skills and learn sound business principles. Do not follow the latest craze into thinking you will make millions overnight. That breeds disappointment, regret and frustration leading you down the wrong path towards the ultimate failure, quitting. Therefore, when you learn quality skills your thoughts change in a positive direction. Learning positive personal development skills is crucial to your financial success.

Listen, financial success does not lay in the methods, strategies or even the technical know how. Financial success is the business principles practiced and the person who practices them correctly. You need to learn the right skills and that comes with growing yourself before you can grow your income. In my personal opinion I really believe that.

What happens is you start to see things differently. You look at success online in a different perspective. You will not see others success as a, what about me concept but a motivational tool you can use to see how their success can benefit you.

Food for thought, why is it that some people have been in this business for years and years and have not made any real financial differences in their lives? Their financial success is reliant on not finding the right "formula" at the right time? I believe, their lack of success stems from not applying themselves. Of course, there is the alternative, others spring-up fast and make money almost instantly. Now you should ask yourself if your financial success is in you. Just remember, financial success is never the strategies.

Sean Burton is an excelling marketer who is showing many that online success is not a myth but a reality. Just doing the basics is not enough you have to take action, the right action in order to succeed. http://www.rightchange4u.com/success-online/

Many webmasters are interested in getting more traffic to their web site, especially the new web site. Without a doubt many of the new webmasters will have a try on the free traffic exchange program all over the internet. So the question is, does it work?

What's good about Free traffic exchange?

First, You got traffic and a lot of traffic without paying a dime. Some of your traffic will actually click on your ad or buy products from your site. Most importantly, it is free! (the best weapon on internet marketing Ever)

What's bad about so-called FREE traffic exchange?

They are not targeted traffic and you will have to either "work for credit" (e.g. watch their ads, click the banner) or "pay for credit" (usually more expensive than you actually buying the targeted traffic. Also, people are reading your site just to get "credits" and are not necessarily interested in your products.

Almost everybody who need to promote their website(s) have joined such services one time or the other. It's the lure of fast traffic that drives webmasters into signing up such services. But unfortunately, the quality of traffic you get from these services is inferior because it's just members who visit other's web site to get credits. If you have a web site to sell something, traffic exchange program may not be a good way to get targeted customers and boost your revenue.

However, if your product is targeting to a group of webmasters or people who sit in front of the computer all the days, traffic exchange program may be a good way for you to get targeted customers.

As I have mentioned before, you actually get "traffic" from those program and it is only a matter of fact on "HOW" you attract your customers to spend 1 minute to read your products or your web site. The beauty of traffic exchange program is that, over 90% of the people in this program are either webmasters or marketers. If you have products or service targeting this group of people, traffic exchange program will no doubt be your number 1 choice.

How to use it wisely?

As I have mentioned before, using "free traffic" to sell affiliate program and webmaster tool, such as seo tools and other online marketing program, would be a wise way. But what really bring you real cash is the "reputation" you build up among other webmasters when you use those "webmaster-targeted" program.

How do you build up your reputation?
1) Provide free content for them
2) Develop downstream using those "free tool"

Then once you have built up your reputation, chances are other webmasters who use this free tool will follow your recommendation and you will be able to make tons of cash from those webmasters (your customers).

Good program such as instantbuzz, trafficswarm and trafficg is a good way to get started if you are new to this "free" traffic exchange stuff.

Multi-level marketing businesses are a dime a dozen, but few last longer than a year. Many do not make it beyond the first few weeks of business life. Knowledge is a powerful tool in business of any kind, so what does the prolific failure of multi-level marketing businesses teach us about how to make an MLM business succeed?

Many multi-level marketing businesses fail because of a few common problems. Being aware of these potential pitfalls before beginning an MLM business can help your business succeed where others have failed.

LACK OF SUPPORT
A new multi-level marketing business owner needs a great deal of support, guidance and encouragement during the first few months of business ownership. Good multi-level marketing business owners take a personal interest in the success of their new recruits and plan to spend extra time with these fledglings to help ensure their success.

If a new multi-level marketing business owner does not get prompt and adequate attention by a more experienced team member in the upline, they may change their mind or lose their desire to work towards a productive business profit.

FAILURE TO GENERATE LEADS
Fresh opt-in leads are the lifeblood to any multi-level marketing business. A failure to generate leads means certain failure for your business. Most new recruits are hesitant to approach their friends and family about their newfound business opportunity. If they are unable to generate a list of acquaintances or approach strangers about their business, there will be no sales.

DIFFICULT TO DUPLICATE
If a multi-level marketing business' system of promoting products or services is not easy to duplicate, the business is not likely to thrive. Not every person can become skilled enough at wining friends and influencing people to generate enough sales to make the business succeed. The main concept of an MLM business is to sign up more business owners who will in turn create their own succession of thriving businesses. This requires an easy to duplicate system.

LACK OF CONFIDENCE AND TRUST
Many new recruits are still on the fence about the legitimacy of a multi-level marketing business. They also battle a lack of confidence in their business, communication, leadership and sales skills. This lack of trust and confidence is often conveyed to potential customers and new recruits during business interactions. Large doses of educational materials may help overcome these fears if they are available early enough. Once the excitement of owning an MLM business wears off, new recruits may become bewildered and hopeless unless they receive a fresh direction for their energies. Providing them with concrete skills that they can feel confident about will help overcome this obstacle to success.

IMPATIENCE
Making any business successful takes time. Many new business owners become impatient and frustrated at a lack of progress or slow growth. Dedication, persistence and patience are necessary for the success of any business, multi-level marketing or traditional.

Safeguarding against failure is a wise step when setting up your multi-level marketing business. Proactive planning and education are great tools that can help ensure your business' success.
